Not sure if I should wait and hope it corrects before going to support (as I expect that to be a bit of a headache).
Easiest thing is to wait until the morning and then check the status. I have a feeling if you go to support whoever you talk to will have no clue what unconfirmed parent means.
You can look at the address that sent to you and see what transaction is still pending confirmation. Then you can see the fee associated with that transaction and get an idea how long it should take to confirm. You can check estimated wait times here:

Worst case if you are in a hurry to get the transaction confirmed in the next hour, send the coin to another wallet address of yours with a fee high enough to go through on the next transaction. This should get the prior transactions confirmed through child pays for parent.
Honestly though its night time, you can't do much with the coin unless you have a debit card for it, so check the fee and wait till the morning to see if it confirms. There's not much they can do right now. They can't cancel the transaction, the only answer they would have is wait.
