This raises an interesting US income tax issue.

Technically, if you're a pro and have money sitting overseas in a poker account you are supposed to disclose a foreign bank account on you income tax return. When you don't know if the money is segregated, or if it's in a bank account, how exactly would you declare that?

The 10% rule on deposits is fact. With regard to the bonus, I'm not sure. To be safe, you may want to treat it like all other bonuses where you have to clear them before they are released and ready for withdrawal. Since bonuses clear at 20% effective rakeback, you could be, in my humble opinion, 100% safe by raking $250.

Consult a CPA and/or tax attorney in your state if this is a concern for you. Even if you handle it incorrectly, the fact that you sought out representation is a big plus in your favor should any issues arise.

You can't "cash" the checks at all. You can "deposit" it into an account though. I wouldn't mention poker if I were you.

If you STILL want to mess with checks. The best way is to deposit using your ATM machine. Back in the days when I used to get Chinese checks they would be fine running thru the ATM machine, but would always pose an issue if I walked inside and let the teller see it.

I'm wondering if anyone can help with this issue. I made two withdrawals within a two week period at Poker King. I did not know there is a 5% charge levied against the second withdrawal. The charge is for 200$ on a 4000$ withdrawal. Had I known, I would have waited. I'll respect the policy going forward but I feel that fine was unfair given it is not a common policy across poker networks. Anyone have any influence at Poker King?

Contact live chat and let them know you had a check bounce. Be sure when having them send another check that you also ask them to reimburse any bounced check fees you incurred (you will need to supply a scan showing the charge).

PokerKing is a very affiliate heavy skin. I'd wager you signed up with an affiliate. Perhaps ask them for help? Though I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you as policy is policy and the affiliate was likely charged as well as you.

Also, the policy of charging for quick succession withdrawals is becoming more and more common and is done at a number of offshore US sites.
