I've been playing on this network a lot lately and will continue to.

I'll go ahead and /sign this. There's really no reason to not implement this at this point. It's obvious that this is what the player base wants.

In a live cash game, how many rooms mandate that the loser show their hand? I've not yet played in a casino that did.

Why should WPN cash games be different?

If they were last to act, most rooms will allow someone to force them to show if that person speaks up in time (I think.)

Doesn't happen much in practice, though.

(FWIW, I don't really want people to be forced to show losing hands at showdown, but I'm obviously in the minority and I don't care much so I don't post much about it. There are benefits to seeing all their losing hands, that I'll gain information, but I honestly believe people are paying off more often knowing they can muck.)

It is what it is.

I WOULD agree with the idea that last to act gets shown. But... doesn't that happen now? I could swear it does... I'll have to pay more attention.

Ya it does, I just meant that in live poker rooms that rule should be enforced if a player requests it.

All of them. It has to be requested by another player if they are trying to muck without showing (conceding the pot at showdown). And you rarely see it requested... but they all have this rule. It's to help prevent collusion.

Online sites all show mucked hands if you look in the hand history (so it's like requesting to see in a way, they don't just table the hand). At least most do afaik, and all the biggest do for sure.

There's no reason for WPN to not have this.

And, cosigned.

Does anybody know why WPN deviated in the first place and went a different route than everyone else by not showing the mucked cards @ showdown?

Signed.

So many reasons why; in the name of keeping the game fun it's sort of tilting to play a hand where while in position villain bets the flop we call, villain bets the turn we call, villain checks the river we check and if we have the winning hand villains cards are mucked and we win. It has a weird feeling to it regardless of the technicalities involved or how familiar one is with something which is the global standard, live or online. Not to be all weirded out by this practice of mucking hands which should be showdown but it is weird and semi-tilting for it's very nature of not being natural. Keep a nice steady natural flow to whatever game you're offering, be it poker or baseketball (reemer.... keep's it alive) and you'll keep the players happy. Eliminate any oddball practice and traffic grows/maintains overnight, seems rather straightforward.

Probably not going to happen since all of us are on the same network but I appreciate your blessing nonetheless lol.

Thanks for making the thread. Why WPN hasn't changed this yet is beyond me. Regardless of what their initial reason(s) were for making the mucked cards invisible at showdown, the player base can't stand it and wants it changed now. What do they (WPN) not get about this?

just started playing there and its one of the most annoying things ive ran in to yet

There's a possibility that the network is actually leasing the software from a separate company (obviously only 1 person at most is coding the software). That would hinder WPN's ability to make fast changes since it's not like WPN can simply hire more programmers to make improvements. I believe that they will make the change as Winning_TD has said, just not as quickly as we would like.

Actually, in the US, only Merge shows mucked cards. Bovada lets players opt out. The other sites just don't show mucked cards even in the handhistories.
