I made a first deposit yesterday afternoon via MG at a retail location, paid in cash. Support ballparked me 45-60 min for it to clear, then warned it could take a maximum of 8 hours in rare cases.

It's going on 20 hours now ... I used MG cash because I wanted to start playing ASAP, and I realize 20 hours isn't really that long, but the CS reps haven't been the most helpful, and I'm a little concerned. I am not new to online poker, I realize the situation with regard to these sites moving money around, I think I'm just looking for people to say the same thing's happened to them and it's no big deal.

I guess we'll see. I hope it's nothing because I've been looking forward to playing on the site.

Incidentally, I checked on MG's website, they show the MG has been ready to be picked up since a few minutes after my transaction. So I'm a bit clueless as to why the rep is saying that the delay is due to MG.

Ok.. so as its your first deposit and i was informed you have been told this.

We cant do anything but wait until its processed.

This is nothing to do with our side.

If you wish to cancel this deposit we will cover the cancellation costs for you and try and find another way to deposit.

The other option is literally to just wait for MG.

You were informed I was told it was my first deposit? It's right above in the first post, in the transcript with the rep. Not sure what you mean by that.

Anyway, that's fine, at least I know what's going on. Don't understand why MG shows it as available for pick up and you're saying they're delaying it, but I'm sure there's a lot I don't know about in that process.

Not that I was happy either, but on my first MG deposit it did take longer with them saying the same line of having to wait until it is processed, basically I think after your first one they basically look up the reference number and take your word and give funds before actually picking up, but on your first deposit i think they are just waiting until money is actually in hand and maybe they do pick ups at certain times? Sucks that it is taking so long for you just trying to give you hope that it will be ok though.

But for sure checkout Bitcoin. Transaction fees would have been something like 8 cents.
