BUT WPN used to fund the rakerace themselves before it was called The Beast. Now its entirely funded by the BBJ rake. So they've saved a significant amount of money every month (old rakerace was 50k I believe).
I think this is why they promote the beast so hard, bc they pocket 50k every month it runs.

Every time the BBJ hits, the house takes 10%. That's definitely an 'administration fee'.
As for the Beast, all of the money paid out is contributed by other players from the BBJ/Beast drop. So they don't have to spend money on the rake race, as the rewards are coming from the pockets of other players. And on top of that, the Beast is an incentive to put in more volume, thus generating the network more normal rake.
The Beast is clearly just a way to line their pockets as much as possible. There is no way it is in the best interest of the game. And only a small minority of players probably even like the promotion (the top finishers).
