Did i just get angled by Americas Pokerroom? Did i just get angled by Americas Pokerroom?

So i deposited for the first time in a while on this poker site. I was playing .5 .10 . I'm not pro. Just having some fun. I bought the minimum $4 the first time. Got stacked. Second time I buy in the minimum, after a little while i get stacked again. And a screen pops up asking me to pick a card. Red or black. Now i'll admit. I didnt fully read the screen. Afterwards i learned that it was a " Bet 8$ to win 16$ if your colored card is drawn" . Of course.. mine wasnt lol computers. I should have read things differently. I thought it was some free game or something. I really should have paid attention, but i was also buying in for the minimum 4$ and never expected to lose another 8 dollars on what amounts to a backroom pick a number game with some sleezeball.

Look maybe this is not an angle shoot, but this type of **** is pretty ridiculous. I'm sure some degenerates will go for it thinking they will win, but i honestly just didnt realize what the hell i was doing. They caught me off guard. I wasnt playing for 8$. I just feel like i got bamboozled here.

Would love some opinions.

Well did you pick red or black?

It is a stupid addition they made a few weeks ago. It makes it annoying to close out tables. If you are ahead x amount then it asks you if you want to go double or nothing.
If you are stuck x amount then it asks you if you want to get even or lose double.

stop blaming others for u being a weak person. they exploited u and u let them, just take it like a man instead of crying about 8 ****ing dollars.

You can disable it in the options but it cost me $400 the first time the screen popped up as well.

Definitely an angle. Should be turned off by default and you can enable if you want.

Oh, ok I see you disable this crap. Cool.

This is some Alec Torrelli level angling.

Double or nothing... but it's not a 50/50 win chance.

What is the win chance? If you're picking either a red or black card isn't it 50/50? Excuse my ignorance.

Until it happens to you and you make your own thread crying about it. Or better yet, make a new account and then a thread!

Seems a little sleezy but it's tough out there in the un-tracked American sites and sometimes they just gotta hustle people.

I think there is also two green cards. It's like betting red or black on roulette

Accidentally clicked a color and then accidentally clicked the confirmation asking if you're sure you want to wager $8. Nah.

Not a big fan of the having this feature on the poker side, but I admit that's a pretty uninformed opinion since I have no clue how it affects things overall. Anyway, glad to hear there is a confirmation dialog before accepting the wager.

gl flippers!

Yeah there's no way a person on the internet clicking threw multiple windows would click an entire TWO buttons by accident. We're all poker players here and i'm sure nobody here has ever made such a mistake, none of us have ever misclicked. Lets just defend a BS feature because you rep the site instead of actually showing a shred of customer service.

Customer service doesn't mean you let every customer freeroll you.

I tested this out in the micro stakes and kept picking black. It was red every time. I disabled it. Next.
