Combat points vs Rakeback decision time, help! Combat points vs Rakeback decision time, help!

About to start playing and figure I better decide, and know that alot of you folks are smarter than me.

What is the crossover point, in $$ contributed to rank/RP earned where it's better to just be on rakeback of 27%, vs the redeemable bonuses of the combat system?

Thanks a ton in advance!

I'm really just trying to figure out wtf "$50 in store cash" means when you hit Captain, does that mean you just get $50? B/c if so that's obv gonna be way better than 27%, since you only have to rake about $100 to hit Captain

It means you can exchange points for $50. I'm not sure how many points, but it will take more than $100 rake to earn them.

If you don't get immediate responses to your first post, you can try searching the rakeback/VIP thread. You might find something useful in there, where it's been discussed a few times.

Thanks yeah I dug through at least 10 pages and didn't see anything about the comparison mentioned so figured I better start a thread

Yeah it seems like $136.36 is the magic number to hit 750 RP and the Captain Rank, which means I'll have exactly 750 CP at that point as well.

Right now in the Lieutenant CP exchange page it says 1000 CP for $10, so not sure how it becomes 750 CP for $50 at Captain unless it really is that much of a difference in the exchange rate...

Just got the giant slap in the face that the race fee doesn't count towards RP accumulation, just CP.

So I'm going to need 25% more in "rake paid" to hit the Ranks, since I assume there is something taken out of the ring game rake as well that won't count towards my RP in a similar manner....

Just found this chart, but its a little confusing.

Why does "store bonus" say 0 even for 1500 points earned, yet the rewards breakdown says "$50 in store cash" for hitting 750 RP....

"The rule of thumb is if you're going to rake 18.1k or more on a year go on elite benefits, if not go on 27% rakeback."

Also found this, true?

All I know is majority of players are better off with the 27% rakeback because once you move over you can't swap back. If you are a PRO rakeback grinder, then yeah I'd say go elite program.

yeah after a few hours of 2-4 tabling 10NL 6max I've only got 35 RB. Would probably take me something like 200 hours a month at this rate to hit 3000, so looks like 27% is gonna be the way to go

The figure is about 7500 a month in points when the Elite is more beneficial. I believe it is about $925, +/- $25, a month in rake that you need for the points to be at the 7500 mark. Each dollar in rake is 5.5 points. You get extra points as you cross milestone levels, 750, 3000,and 7500 a month. 925 x 5.5 points is 5,087.5 and it is an average of a 1.5 multiplier and that is around 7630 in points.

That is only for the first month, after that you have a 2.5 multiple for points if you maintain that prior months pace of colonel or veteran.

Pretty sure I have the math right on that.

Yup if you gotta ask.... you cant afford it and stick to 27%.

I can't figure it out either, but say you rake enough to get a $100 cash prize most weeks in the Beast race. Are you better off in the elite program?
06-21-2017 , 10:39 AM
Not enough.. you need to be on that $1000 level or think of it this way you need to be playing 8+ tables of $.5/$1PLO for 40hrs a week.
