My ACR client keeps freezing is this happening to anyone else?
08-04-2016 , 02:27 PM
We have had no complaints this end
08-04-2016 , 04:03 PM
happens often, software just freezes and closes. Once had AA with 2 tables left in an MTT, 3 limps to me on the button... I raise 3 calls. I get kicked off on flop. I get back in time to see that pot didn't change post flop, I got auto folded instead of timeout checking, and it got checked down.

This is very stupid, to fold on timeouts where no betting has taken place.

Seems to be working now.

Mine dies about every 15-20 mins. Have to close through task manager and restart. Have re-installed and restarted PC. Didnt start happening til 2 hours into session but checking PC after session anyway.

If you happen to be on a mac just give up imo. If it's windows it's probably your system or connection.

You're probably right. It's clearly PC. I mean just because everything else works fine doesn't mean anything. You're right, probably connection. I mean, I'm gonna find out who connected my working PS4 and chrome browser to another connection. I know I didn't. As soon as I find this invisible modem, I should have problem fixed

FFS, somebody might have done it for me already. no crashes for 1.5 hours. Must have done something right in past life.

Keeps happening to me every 20 minutes too, I have to use task manager to force close and reopen

Clearly PC.... It's a very, very, very sophisticated client. Not just any windows PC is gonna run it.

I spoke too soon about crashes ending, cuz they don't lol. Just longer in between now. At least my music (and everything else) still work
08-04-2016 , 11:58 PM
BCP is consistently spinning up CPU, getting sluggish at 6+ tables, crashed at least 5 times in an 8 hour session today. All these issues are new since recent update.
08-05-2016 , 05:31 AM
Ever since the update yesterday, it has been crashing on me every 20 minutes or so. I played for the past two years and never had a problem, but after yesterdays update the poker client crashes 3/4 times an hour. This is happening on my pc with Windows XP, and hasnt occurred yet on windows 7
08-05-2016 , 05:23 PM
It just happened to me again. Is it just on windows or is this happening on Mac too?

I do wonder what tone people use when reading sarcastic text. I think they automatically think the person is angry, simply because they have a bad sense of humor. I mean "thanks for the radio shack knowledge, but I know when my PC is messed up." is what I was saying.

Lets me draw with crayons for you here. I can't reconnect, because I never disconnected. I could still click any button i wanted. The tables were froze, that is all. Since this is the only place I know of to find out, I decided to check to see if anyone else had a problem (after radioshack approved checking of PC/connection). What do ya know, a thread about it.

At the tail end of a 9 hours day with no crashes today. Did absolutely nothing to my PC. Thanks radioshack

Also, I'm a sane poker player. I would never buy a Mac.

.
ironic

also i was referring to the OP, let me write this in some crayon for ya

i was saying that the servers are fine and it's something on his end, since he seemed to be asking if it was happening more widely

I just don't understand. The client wasn't freezing until this update that they did on Wednesday. This is just ridiculous.

I don't think it's ironic. I didn't think you were angry. I assumed down syndrome maybe, but didn't want to offend you.

You are right tho. OP's situation could be very different. He's also not the first person with the problem either.

Honestly, there isn't anything that will/needs to be done by WPN.

Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and look at the processes in your task manager. See if any programs are hogging RAM and competing with ACR.

Sometimes Internet browsers will have memory leaks if you use tabbed browsing.
08-07-2016 , 06:16 PM
mine glitches when it happens. does anyones else client glitch? also using table tamer which may affect it
08-07-2016 , 07:19 PM
The freezes and lags are real. Got several games running on various sites and the wpn client is totally slowing it down to a severe delay to the point of timing out on all sites. Once I shut down the wpn client, everything resumes normal speed

What wizardry do you practice? Are you a time traveler? Its 2016 mate. That means there a kids in high school that have known how to check their processes since 1st grade. Of course its going to tell them WPN client is using a ton, and when they close it, everything is fine. I would not be shocked if every single person in this thread, or any thread like it, has already done this. Its like a baseball game and you're trying to get the team to play better by telling them to put on their uniforms.

You're one of the argumentative aspies that peruses threads and nitpicks everything everyone says. GG!
