I am creating this thread to keep you updated with additions or changes i am going to make.

I will mod this thread so its clean and clear for everyone to see so please any comments please know will be read, taken into consideration and then deleted.

1st change which i made the other day was i changed the $2 $2000 GTD on Wednesdays and Sundays to a daily $3 $1,500 GTD

As i said this will be daily from here on.

Starting from tomorrow its not big changes but the $1200 megastack turbo10 will be $1500 gtd and the 9pm big10 6 max KO will be a $1250 gtd

Also today the big10 1k at 10pm will be 1500 gtd

Ok i forgot with everything that is going on a few additions starting today.


4pm - 4,40 200gtd turbo 1 hr 30 min lr and 5k ss

5.30pm - 7 turbo ko 5+2+0.50 250gtd - 1 hr 30 min lr 5k ss

8.30 - 5,50, 250gtd - 2 hr lr 3k ss

FYI.. All GI60M tournaments are now minimum 10 players to start due to unforeseen circumstances.

This could be applied to the majority of MTT's in the future

5.15 $500 GTD will now be changed to $500 gtd $5+2KO +0.50 6 max

The 8k will not be there on Tuesdays and will be replaced with a $3k GTD $20+2 Megastack turbo

Ok, That $20 turbo megastack 3k gtd will now replace the 10pm $50 holdem daily

This may not be the correct thread for this, but I just wanted to ask what was up with the new payout structures.

I played the OSS V $22 $35k GTD yesterday which got over 2,200 runners, and only 99 players were paid. I noticed this has been happening over the past week at least. Typically, MTTs on WPN had been paying somewhere between 15 to 20% of the entrants. I looked down the tournament lobby yesterday, and all of the huge player field MTTs were capping out at 99 spots paid.

There were 2,257 runners in the $22 $35k yesterday. 2,257 runners x $20 = $45,140 prizepool

99 players / 2,257 x 100 = 4.39%

Is this going to stick--less than 5% of field getting paid? I figured it was some sort of glitch with the tourney lobby. Paying 99 players would be suitable in a tournament with <800 players, but having to get through >2,000 players in a 2,257 player event is a marathon!

Payouts, with this issue, are obviously super top heavy, and far from friendly for recreational players.

I noticed the same payouts in the $3.30 $1,500 GTD that ran at 2:00PM EST yesterday, and gets well over 1,000 runners. I didn't see a single MTT running yesterday that paid >99 players.

Would love to see a $30-$50 Nightly Turbo with a decent gtd, I know there is a late night $3K gtd $22 but maybe slot a $30-$50 in at 8pm-9pm and see how it does? I know the $50K turbo OSS event had a great turnout and received good feedback so just a suggestion. Is there a similar turbo that runs Sundays? If not can always test run it there.

Dear WPN. Please do not remove well performing mtts on saturdays/sundays. The 30 10k and 55 BIG 10 (replaced by 54 4k ko) should always run on saturdays. Please bring back the 66 4k on Sundays, I see no reason as to why this is removed. A big 55 on sunday would do really well at 1-4pm. Really any tournament with a gtd over 5k of any buyin on sat/sun would do amazing from noon-4pm as there is nothing to play until around 3.

Ya, it's annoying that they remove certain tournaments on the weekend.

I think there should be a bigger buyin PLO8 on the weekends to replace the Big10 that doesn't run. A big $33 will get plenty of action, then maybe work up from there. Holdem regs will play if there is a decent gtd. The friday $2500 gtd failed because it wasn't on sunday. That was odd.

I've requested bigger plo8 and nlo8 games so many times. Doesn't seem it's gonna happen.

I think we can get it done. The PLO8 player pool is growing. I joined semi-recently and everyday I see the sn's of Merge players who followed me over. To be honest, there isn't must to complain about these days. It's pretty good times right now on the anonymous site too but you can't beat playing with screennames IMO.

FWIW i am in the middle of doing a new schedule where things need to be changed. Not sure about changing Sundays because IMO they are great.

Awesome news! Great to hear that innovation/change is coming. I hope you will engage/listen to our feedback of what we think. Personally I just want more tournaments to play, more gtds above 5k and some more tournaments around 1-4pm. Also please keep mtts like the 50 5k, and 66 4k running every day.

As far as sundays go, I do agree sunday is great for WPN. That being said a big GTD 50$ mtt (call it the kick off?) around 12pm would be an awesome way to start the day. Nothing starts until 2pm (20 25k) and I am forced grinding 1/3 tables of satellites to the 215 50k while I play a turbo or two on the side. I really hate sundays until about 3pm. I feel like a 50$ (perhaps 82) (kick off type) 20-50k GTD would do really well. 12-1pm. Even could consider giving it 5 hour late reg, allowing people to join all afternoon. This would not take away from the 20 25k, rather help it's numbers.

Only other sunday tweaks would be fixing the sats to the 109 turbo (10k turbo doesn't exist only a 15k), adding more sattilites to any 109+ ( I want to see more sats to 160s).

Haven't noticed because I haven't paid attention to it. As much as I think WPN has always been great about certain things, PLO8 wasn't one of them in the past.

That's great to hear, though, and I'll be checking it out the games.

Winning TD I understand PLO8 isn't super popular so won't have huge GTDs even for 55-109 buy ins, but I'd still like to see smaller GTDs with higher buy ins for this game.

Honestly if there was a 44 or 55 PLO8 nightly I'd probably play every night that I was free to do so.

It just needs to be freshened/tweaked. Tournaments that do really well probably no need to change. The tournaments that constantly overlay obvs changed completely.

I will admit sats are definately not my strong point.

Maybe we can open a new thread with suggestions and players feedback. I have done this in the past when changing the schedule.

Sundays i do like the idea of a $50 $50k ISH at maybe 1pm 5 HR LR.

The thing about sundays is peak time for every other network is around 2pm EST and there are a huge amount of players who log on on sundays from all time zones ready to fire anything of value. The 55 (kick off type) would fit into everyone schedule especially with such a deep structure/long late reg. There really is no point of loging on to WPN before 1-2pm EST on a Sunday which is a real shame.

12pm 55$ "Kick off" 25-50k 5hr late reg 8max. The 44 8max does very well every night at such a late start time (715 est) simply because players love the format, as well as a 100 player+ Gtd. I think 8max would make it unique and not sacrifice a lot of players like 6max tournaments often do.

As far as satellites go I, as well as many other players can help you greatly in that area. A robust sat system is very essential to the growth of mid/hi stake tournaments allowing healthy guarantees. It is very simple to achieve this, simply by offering both turbo/nonturbo (non hyper) sats to every tournament 55+ that guarantee a 3-5 seats+. I will write up what can be changed in the new thread.

Also HAND FOR HAND is so essential in online tournaments and especially sats. The amount of stalling is really not a positive experience for anyone.

would be nice to have a mid-high stakes game at noon or 1 on sunday......also change the 109 nightly structure atleast on sunday.....i skip it every week cause it runs till 4 am - I dont mind an 8 hour tournament but I can't stay up that late
