There are really dry boring times that last up to a full minute with no spam messages to entertain. These are hard to endure.

They can be worthless to certain players at certain times. I would find it useful to have an option to display them or not.



Modders can edit frname.xml to not show them, but you lose blind increase and other worthy messages. (I changed this back in case the bot checker uses it--not wanting to be collateral damage. )

Some tournaments may be worthless to you but if only you saw the difference these messages make and how much they help. You would be amazed.

I'd be amazed only if non-MTT messages were being added too, like, 'A $400 jackpot tournament is underway! <Insert a link that opens that table for observation.> Play Jackpot Poker and you can become the next big winner in 5 minutes!' Or maybe even, 'Look at that beast who is sitting at a cash table <one stake higher than the one currently played by the user> with 10 times their initial buy-in ! Will you eclipse their achievement?'

Why are MTTs getting the long end of the stick on all poker networks nowadays? I don't believe that they allow you to collect the most rake per deposited dollar.

This. I can't think you get many new takers on tournaments when people get pop-ups about tournies they are already in. I have used some of the other notifications, to buy-in late to tournaments with overlay, so don't really have an issue, but this tweak (not getting notifications for the tourney you are in) would be great.

Incorporating an option to turn off the notifications would be nice. I don't play tournaments, so they're of no use to me.

ya. industry standard for an option to turn off messages that pop up overlaying the community cards. really annoying to play through this.

How bout some popups telling people about cash games they can play in when they bust?

Im not exaggerating these have gotten so bad im considering stopping my play on the site. I mean I dont play for a living or anything but put a decent amount of volume in but these have gotten so out of hand they drive me nuts. Maybe im just a nit but the non stop **** popping up has gotten to me.

If they really help numbers I don't mind them much in general, but the fact that it can make it very difficult to read the board and pot amount at times is absurd.
It makes the software look cheap and it's ridiculous to interfere with gameplay.
The blackjack link could easily be moved to the left of the beast counter and a dialog box could pop up in the top right or something along those lines?
Would be a nice place to meet in the middle.

Also, when there are sitewide issues, can we seriously please get more spam about them? Things like the other night when tournament payout was backed up.
Would be another great message that reduces the negativity with players when issues happen and could even be displayed constantly during the period if the dialog box were in the corner like my previous post suggested.

When youre playing micro stakes cash, and get a pop up for a 1000$ cage tournament. Worthless.
