Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

06-27-2016 , 11:06 AM
Hey guys,

I have never requested a bitcoin withdrawal and use coinbase-->Blockchain to deposit.

I have $6k i need to cashout. Will it be safe going backwards? Blockchain--->Coinbase---->Bank? I Have read that coinbase locks accounts. Should i be using a different wallet? If the account gets locked do they keep BTC in there?

Thanks

You can always cash out to a wallet and sell your bitcoin on localbitcoins.com to trade your bitcoin for cash, I dont know any other options off the top of my head though that can be trusted.

bitpay debit card then go to ATM and get cash. banks are cracking down on how much you can take out of ATMs tho so if you plan to do a large payout get ready for many trips to the ATM.

i am thinking of making an account on BCP and using bitcoin. is there/what is the verification process to withdraw using bitcoin if you make your first deposit with bitcoin? do you still need to give them your id, utility bill etc?

I do believe you will still have to verify your identity to cashout.

I believe this is standard procedure regardless of your cashout method.

I received my first ever Bitcoin withdrawal earlier this week and it took about 36 hours between receiving the Bitcoin and hitting my bank account. The fee is 1%.

Yes, make a new blockchain address-->Withdraw to said address-->Xfer from Blockchain to Coinbase-->Cash out to bank and rub maneys on titties. You can probably reuse the same blockchain address if you want, but I have feeling that you will be a little more nervous if don't generate a fresh address.

As far as what happens if your Coinbase gets locked, they will politely tell you to "**** off and take your filthy money with you." This has happened to some folks I know--particularly around a year or so ago when they first started cracking down on xfers back and forth with gambling sites. Every single one of them received their money, most had to wait a few days for the refund or the notification to xfer btc balance to another wallet.

The absolute fastest way to turn BTC into cash is probably localbitcoins. You will need to be familiar with how lbtc escrow works, and knowledgable about the payment form you are intending to receive. The safest options are those where you receive cash in hand.

--In-person cash trade if you live in a location where there is significant bitcoin activity. (advice: don't get robbed, meet in public place)
--Western Union/MG (don't release escrow until you are counting the cash in your hand)<--prob the easiest for a new user
--Cash deposit at bank account--make sure they deposit cash (and not checks or IOUs), ask them to upload a picture of the deposit receipt via lbtc, check your balance online, call the branch to make sure they don't employ ******s who will let a depositer pull cash back out of an account he doesn't own. Extremely rare that you will get scammed if you follow these rules (I have completed hundreds of non poker-related trades for over $80k of cash deposits across 4-5 different banks on lbtc and have not gotten scammed once.) You will generally need to provide the buyer your name and account #. Do read up on how to do these trades safely before you jump in headfirst.

Generally, buyers of BTC will pay you some vig so exchanging on lbtc should never result in you trading for less than the market value of your btc balance.

*There are also other payment options but they require a more nuanced understanding of how they operate. You can certainly get them done without every getting ripped off but you will need to spend considerable time researching the mechanics of accepting these payments. They have a forum: search through it for the payment form you're interested in to see if/how people end up getting scammed with those payment forms, and make sure you don't fall for similar scams.*

This thread makes me so happy I have a bitcoin ATM in town. I can literally just buy them with cash direct to my mobile wallet.

Just made a deposit using bitcoin. Put in the amount via USD and sent via blockchain. On the deposit page, it says something like you must send the exact bitcoin amount for the transaction to be sucessful. When I look back on the transaction report on blockchain, the bitcoin amount is a little different. Probably because I sent via USD and didn't put in the exact BTC amount. The amount I sent to ACR may be a couple cents off or something. Hope that makes sense. Will this be a problem? Still waiting for the funds to show up in my account.

This worked out. It showed up 30 minutes later after the transaction had been verified a few times.

But...

I'm not seeing Bitcoin as an option to withdrawal. I realize I'm a new account and may not have that option yet but if you deposit via Bitcoin shouldn't you have the option to withdrawal that way? I understand I probably haven't raked enough which is fine. What gives? New York player if that matters.

Anyone care to answer my post a few up? Do I just have to get Bitcoin withdrawals activated by asking for it or something? I've already made a successful deposit using Bitcoin. Appreciate any help. I've tried searching. Seems some get it some don't? I only have bank draft, debit cards, and two types of money transfers available as withdrawal options.

I use kraken, and blockchain as wallet.

I requested BTC withdrawal sunday night on ACR. Transferred bitcoin from blockchain to kraken last night. Exchanged BTC to USD this morning on kraken. Withdrew the USD from Kraken this morning ($5 wire fee) and the money is already in my checking account. Pretty fast and awesome turn around.
