I remember in like 2013 when Avatars were "right around the corner". WPN is completely incompetent when it comes to their software.

It does make you wonder. Maybe it's super deep like inception. Maybe a previous software developer hid these advance algorithms inside of complex codes in the software program and only he has the key. It's like a Rubix cube and no one in Costa Rica can solve the game except for Hans who has now moved to Russia and is hiding out.

Summary: take everything they say with a grain of salt or not at all. Dates they give virtually mean nothing.

I don't know anything about software or coding but I assume things are all wired a certain way and they can't just undo one thing without the whole house coming down. Obv would be better to just build another system but I don't know the man hours or $ for that.

All it takes to fix this is $$$... I mean it's not like they're not profitable. Hire a competent programming team and start from ground up; or buy updated software?

Surely they can find Hans in Russia to help a brotha out.

I don't really see the point of this. Esp since there are bigger issues. I think everybody agrees the software is buggy, and putting avatars in isn't going to help.

I also noticed in the Jackpot poker hand histories....I think it said they would be released on like Jan 16th ish....Now its saying unavailable until Feb 13th LOL. I bet they wont even make that date.

They are ALWAYS behind when they say something will be released. This is truly sad.

I bet we wont see avatars until 2018 LOL. Ill be shocked if we get them anytime soon.

Based on this thread, we created the avatars that are currently in the client. On my list to create still from this thread are:

Princess
Dog
Cat
Dragon (tried the double-headed dragon as a poster suggested here, but it's too much for a small space)

Post other suggestions here if you want to be a part of what avatars get made.

Generic, but def think there needs to be shark, fish, rock, mouse, an ATM or dollar sign, a "?"...also think ppl would like sports team logos.

On a side note I would like it if everybody had a mini country flag of where they're from near their screen name (so u don't have to click their name to see where they're from). I think carbon had/has this.

I also like the idea that someone previously mentioned about unlocking avatars based on achievements, a la nitrogen poker. Like maybe even former wsop main event champions.

I like the pokerstars/lock where you can upload your own pic as your avatar. These are lol bad.

I didn't read all of the pages, so apologize if this was already mentioned. Maybe just let us upload our own avatars. I'm sure the players will police each other and will report anything offensive.

The new avatars with emotions are a fun addition but having custom avatars also would be cool.

Wpn rep already said (either in this thread or another) that they specifically were not going to do custom avatar uploads because of limitations

Yes, I like unlocking based on achievements too. We're looking to implement that type of idea in future iterations.
