ACR, Black chip, and True are all part of WPN. They all get the same updates.

My first reaction to reading this sentence was "Oh, god no."

But I guess as long as you don't go overboard on the social experience stuff it's fine. Just worried about the slippery slope stuff of gradually destroying your poker room like Party (though I haven't played there in a few years), trying to reinvent poker as a social network experience.

On the other hand, it did seem like a lot of players at Carbon did like all those dumb expression/animated-emoji things.

Though I'd much, much rather the focus is on improving the core software and playing experience, and that it would be much better for both your own bottom line and the player pool. I'd be 1000x happier with hotkey functionality added than I would be with emoji functionality added, for example.

Please also make sure that avatars can be turned on/off, it can be a distraction to have a bunch of colorful/animated things on the screen.

Or maybe rather than an avatar, maybe some kind of little achievement badge for winning a special tournament (you could have one for the Sunday major, one for a "Big 10" tourn, a special one for special tournament series, etc etc) that is separate from the actual avatar itself but shows up near your username (and that you can toggle on/off of course). Carbon used to have badges like this before they decided to dismantle everything good about themselves, and I think it was fun both for pros and recs to try to collect the badges.

No offense...... Maybe your tech team can update the software to show cards at show down? This has only been asked for over a year now....

That's actually a good idea.

You could always make your own and always be at a final table.

That's not hard at all and I don't think he was referring to the actual uploading. What is "hard" is that if you allow that then you have to have guidelines for it. You then have to have a person or multiple people check that these images meet those guidelines. More work and man power in the long run than just having a predefined set of images.

id like to be able to upload my own image. however, if this wont be the case, Id like to have an italian man preloaded avatar.

With the possibility of the Full Tilt software being for sale in the near future, maybe WPN should explore the option of buying that. I'm sure it will be pricey. However it's not just avatars it brings... that would also solve the plethora of software problems experienced with the current software.

And it would allow WPN to introduce a fast poker product immediately (Rush) as well as offer mixed games immediately, have HU mtt's, etc. etc. The up front cost of the purchase may well be worth it in terms of immediate improved service and offerings and long term programming/technical $$ saved.

One of the drawbacks to Amaya selling the FT software is creating a potential new competitor to Stars if a "new" group purchases it to come into the market. Since WPN is already in the market this isn't an issue which means they would likely be amenable to such a sale.

Amaya said that they aren't going to sell the FullTilt software. They said that they are going to retire it. I was also hoping that they'd sell it.

Well that sucks. Still, I would wager they'd listen to serious offers. Many things not for sale do have a price so to speak, I'd imagine a software product would be one of them.

Hi Qtip when implementing Avatars could you add the option to throw something against fellow players like 888 have. You can throw like cake,egg,tomato,trophy etc there against fellow players. I think it is a very cool idea and everyone like it.

I would suggest cleaning up the software before adding things that are not necessary.

Can not imagine WPN has the $ to buy FT software
