I'm bringing this back to life. Let's do it ACR. Avatars would be awesome for the site.

We've made a lot of progress on this feature. I've taken suggestions from this thread for our first set of avatars. Here's a little preview of where we're heading:

Custom avatars is what people want. Just like stars.

3 things.

1. I agree with you, that avatar format would be the nuts.

2. WPN already stated that it would be very hard on the system to upload images/avatars.

3. They are in the process of creating "Full Tilt" like avatars. There are pictures (one picture anyways) in another thread
what the avatars will look like. Unfortunately they will not be able to be uploaded, like you are hoping.

You can already upload pictures to the info section how hard could it be to put it on the table? Custom avatars, please. I want a picture of Barack Obama smoking a joint not an alien.

If I had to have avatars I would opt for custom. If forced to pick from somebody 's idea of an avatar I would prefer to leave the site.

There are real issues that should be addressed first. The software is buggy, why two lobbies?, players are getting disconnected, games are stopped to reboot the servers or just canceled completely.

Every time the software updates something breaks. Currently tournament lobbies display "PLACES PAID 3" no matter how many are entered. The total paid is correct and displays properly in the prize field once registration closes, but I wonder how many see a tournament with 100+ runners saying it will pay 3 and not enter.

The live customer service department is terrible one hand has no clue what the other is doing. The goal appears to be disservice just get them off the phone.

New paint makes a car look better, but won't make it run any better. Fix what's broken or working poorly, then go ahead and slap on the paint.

Then you have to moderate it so everyone doesn't have dicks for their avatars.

It would not be hard to allow custom avatars, like at all.

Pyro, most sites allow custom avatars and your dick problem hasn't been relevant there. They could take as long as they f want to vet the pictures anyways, you just use a house one until then

lol, would prefer to leave the site because of a cool avatar that ACR has worked to add because it's awesome. Something is better than nothing. Stop being so negative everyone.

They already do this now, it takes 24 hours to add a picture.

When they changed the table layout the circle was supposed to be for custom avatars, it was even previewed with them. Why didn't this ever happen?

You know there is already custom avatars they have to aprove w2hen you double click someone name on acr in their info section??

Custom avatars in the circle next to my SN just like they had it on Pokerstars is the way to go!!

Would bring unquieness to the tables and each player would have different avatars. Just like the good ol days!

I am fine with avatars on the site. I like that kind of stuff personally. I miss that from the Full Tilt poker days. It is great for recreational players. I believe it would allow some individuality to the game as well. I did see the alien avatar and I liked the concept of it. I think that it would be cool that as you play more and accumulate a certain amount of points, it would unlock more "upgraded" avatars.

I personally don't really care about having to make my own avatar. It's not important to me but if I can get my penguin back, i would be estatic.

I do agree with previous posters, that there are more important things to handle with the software than new avatars. I would like to see a better lobby, the mobile client, and a good mac program before I really care about an avatar.

any new updates as to when anything like this is happening?

The programming geeks need to focus on the the lag and freezing glitches, overall site stability and jackpot glitches... before we worry about avatars...

Avatars, while cool, don't affect our win rate. All of the above does...

Yea Mobile client is a must now a days aswell.

I would just like to see improvement...Ive heard about avatars for awhile now and "soon" they'll be here but nothing.

Same goes for the mobile client "soon" LOL That was like over 18 months ago lol...

I mean lets go WPN (ACR) You want more business? Get the ball rollin and upgrade....

You started with the bigger GTD prizepool MTT's which was a must but now start with the rest.

The incompetence at WPN is disturbing to watch. You guys have a massive market waiting to donate you money in Progressive KO MTTs and Zoom poker. The big upgrade in the past 6 months was you turning the Jackpots into a web-based table out of 2004. Get it together Nagy.
