The upgrade of Jackpot Poker literally broke the Mac client's version. Mac and ACR is no good. I really do think on the other bright side is they made it to be HTML5 so that it will work in the next version of ACR along with SnG 2.0. It seems the Jackpot Poker "upgrade" was an epic fail.

I use a mac and play ACR every day. I won't go over 4 tables though (tried 6 for a while). The software freezes up pretty bad and any more than that you would be auto-folded constantly.

Other than the freezing problems though, I don't have too many problems.

Sorry for not being here to answer earlier questions on this ACR install thread.

I tried using a product called Clean my Mac 3 and ran the maintenance portion of the app. It cleans up startup databases etc

When I ran the ACR install and Betcoin (basically the same client) installs after this, they then would install properly in Sierra 10.12.2 beta, to clarify.

What changed specifically I don't know. but it remedied the problem with the ACR ****5623 installer for both disk images of that version of install.

When in doubt, get Parallels and a copy of Windows. It works great for me when these clients fail for a couple weeks at a time. Though I prefer playing on the Mac side if it all possible where my PT4 databases are.

Cheers,

TK

Does PT4 work on the Mac client of ACR?

Yes it does.

On a separate note, I uninstalled the other day when I thought the program was acting up. I later realized that an update was going on. Anyways, when I went to reinstall, I can't get the damn thing to work. I used a security program to uninstall it, so it wasn't done properly. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction to get it fixed? If not, is there anyone that can point me in the right direction to get my money off of ACR without having to be installed so I can play elsewhere? Thanks.

This software desperately needs updating. ASAP. It's so horrifically bad and the patches have done nothing to improve it at all. It's crashing once an hour minimum for me, freezing my tables and requiring them to be re-opened. First world problems I know but wtf, fix your product!

Can some of you other guys using mac complain about this **** ass software? I know I'm not the only one that experiences 10+ software interruptions per session, freezing every table and usually requiring a client restart.

it's a close race as to which software is worse, Mac or Windows. both have serious unique drawbacks.

I finally just took my money off of ACR and moved it to Ignition. Their software is smooth for mac. I will miss rakeback and gathering stats on players, but the constant freezing became too unbearable.

Yes, it does.

I'm unable to resize tables..anyone else?

Can you return to tables on a pc? Prefer my Mac but this is **** is getting old REALLY QUICK. Been on acr 2 days and this happens nonstop (get disconnected or it freezes and can't return to any tables, or play at all bc not enough games at some stakes)

On the upside I get to spend the 30 minutes waiting to return to a game daydreaming about what it would be like to live in Mexico or Canada & play on Stars. Then that gets ruined by remembering I just forfeited a big pot by getting kicked off via software glitches.

This is starting to become an increasing important problem. Am I the only one who can't custom resize tables on mac?

you can but its not easy
just go to the bottom right corner of your table and click and drag...its not clean at all but it works

I havent been on the mac client in the a while. Are the stud games still not in the lobby?

Tried DL'ing and installing today, got it installed but it won't open. I click the application and nothing happens.

Anyone have any idea on why?

Same issue happens to me with the latest macOS Sierra beta on the newest touchbar rMBP 15". I don't know why but I found workaround.

After you install ACR, go to the Application folder.

1) hit 'control' on your keyboard and click your touchpad/trackpad/Magic Mouse
2) select 'show package contents'
3) click on 'contents' > 'MacOS' folder > run/execute 'AmericasCardroomPoker'
4) 'AmericasCardroomPoker32' should appear and click on it

The standard ACR client should show up.

This probably has to do with 64bit compatibility issues with macOS Sierra and this method force/runs the 32bit version – just a guess.

*run on 'AmericasCardroomPoker from now on after navigating through steps 1) to 3)

Not as of a few days ago. Stopped logging in to check. If you happen to see them up, please PM me, and I'll do the same for you.

Hey, I keep trying to DL the client on my Mac, but still keep getting this error message:

Any way to resolve this?
