Sleep and breaks are good for your health and bankroll.
I once did a 3 day live poker session had to take breaks to find games in the small town but no sleep. I also hallucinated the King and Queen on a flop got up and danced around at that point I knew it was time for a nap.

Seriously though why wouldn't you play live? If you have a large enough bankroll to do what you are doing on ACR... then live would be a significantly softer field, take a book or your table because you are clearly going to be bored out of your mind.... but this is a job. You will net more without worrying about ridiculous weekly swings hoping that the promotion saves your ass.

Think about who you are playing against online... other pros.. other wannabe pros (so they are constantly improving).. shady software.. and the occasional gambler. The fact that the whole strategy to earn money on ACR is to breakeven to get Beast is telling you to go play in an easier arena. Just my 2 cents.

Many people that play online will find it more difficult to play live since they have no help from software to make decisions. Much in the way that lots of live players will not be as successful online due to not utilizing software or being able to pick up patterns as easily as a live game.

I don't ever sniff the beast LB but have hit the SnC enough without losing or breaking even. I don't use software so I am not able to multi table 10+ tables, hell I get headaches from four tables. I can play four tables with the goal of generating a profit at the end of the day probably easier than someone that is grinding out a dozen tables and doing everything based on math. If you can reasonably assure a breakeven +/-5% and hit the top of the LB in either race, it makes sense to just do it. A $7,500+ income a month is not the worst thing that can happen, especially since many of the ones doing it are in their 20s.

The lack of sleep and sitting in one position for that long of a time has got to be exhausting, regards to the OP. In SERE training we were forced to go 72+ hours without a wink of sleep. They would have endless audio pumped into the room of garbled nonsense, static, improper counting, etc... We became disillusioned around the midway point. I don't know if you would hallucinate playing that long at your desk, but you sure will get antsy and start to make bad decisions. I have played live for 31 hours straight at the Hollywood Park Casino back in 2009, same seat the entire time. Drove home, grabbed some eats, and 3 minutes after I sat on the couch, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Because you can make more money multi tabling online at lower stakes in the comfort of your own home? Playing live poker 80 hours in a week is much more miserable than doing so at your own home. Not to mention live poker isn't an option for lots of people because of traveling.

Unless you live 10 minutes from a casino you have to start adding in food, travel costs, possible hotel stays and time spent. Sure, live is easier, but it's much less convenient and may or may not make you more money.

Oh, and don't suggest reading a book at a live table, ffs. Staring at your phone and reading books isn't very smart.

I guess but live is so boring and the rake is atrocious.... like $5-8 rake.... i don't know if the winrate is much greater with how slow it is.... i'll play live if a 5/10 or higher game runs consistently but sometimes the game dies.

Yeah not everyone is lucky to have good live games close by.

I have to drive about 2 hours to play $2/5. There's a $1/2 an hour away from me, but that barely runs and it's not worth the time and gas.

wow that's pretty bad.... there's plenty of good live games, it's just the speed of the games.... you get like 20-30 hands an hour so it's only worth it for me to play $5/10....

with the beast, since i'll bumhunt nosebleed omaha as well, if i run okay, i could take down like $10k in a week.... which is excellent.

I have always said that the beast is bad for the long term health of the site. No one should be incentive to be able to play a **** load of hours at a slightly break even pace. It is bad for everyone in the long run, imagine if more people tried this?

tbh its still good for the site, cause it still brings action, i could play 15 hours a week and get something from the leaderboard
