Advice for grinding it out on ACR Advice for grinding it out on ACR

Hey ACR players, just asking for some tips on grinding it out on ACR. My BR is right at $100 and I've been playing just several kind of games for fun SNG, 9max/6max Cash, etc...figured it's time to get serious and stick with MTT to build my bankroll and goes in line with my live play discipline (Harrington type player).

What do you guys recommend for newbs like me??? Any advice is greatly appreciated and good luck at the tables!

mtts are a terrible way to build a bankroll due to their high variance. i think most people would agree that small stakes SNGs (not jackpots) is the place to start.

ooo really?? I've heard quite the opposite but I could've have miss read it. SNG it is. Thanks zapzer. By the way, what do you recommend for BRM for SNG? I've seen 5% and 2%.

Withdraw and sign up for Bovada. Way too much of a grind on ACR for $100. Better off playing $5-10 trnys on Bovada finishing in the top 5 then move up for sng's/trny's.

It is a pretty tough site for grinding up from a small roll, at least for SNGs. Not a ton of micro traffic and no shot at Sit&Crush.

Agreed a few months ago I put on $100 got up to $800 in about a month playing the $5-15 double or nothing sng's + around top 30 on the leaderboard for some extra cash. Collusion occurred in the double up's and lost 65% of my roll so I went to Bovada and never looked back since.

ahhh so Bovada hu?? guess I'll have to withdraw and go from there since it looks like they have a nice way to build bankroll with SNGs like that.

They are starting their Freebuy Superseries soon where it will cost nothing to enter various tournaments.

Also playing 2nl is a good way to build from a $100 bankroll. If you want to be extra cautious, play the capped games.

Ah yeah, that freebuy series is a great idea. I forgot about that and it's happening soon.

HU/6max sng's have been most profitable for me. You can fish around with both sites and see which you have more success with. Gl

I mean .01/.02. If you find that you are easily beating them you can always climb up the stakes. If you try to play the 1/2 games you are going to be playing mostly against experienced players.

Well sorry to disappoint. Cashed 6/9 sng tournaments so far and up a few bucks with a grinding time of about 1-2 hours.

Yeah I be grumpy too opening up my wallet and throwing money at the casino and online vendors especially with an 8% edge. He should play craps if he actually wants to win a game (or poker)

Don't recommend trying to build up a BR on ACR with only $100. Too many disconnect/software during high traffic times that you'll just eventually lose your BR to being timed out/DCed.
