The only "advantage" to be had in knowing early is studying ICM payouts for pay 2, pay 3, pay 4, pay 5, pay 6 etc. which I can guarantee you Collin Moshman (as well as myself) already have from not only playing hundreds of thousands of games but coaching sngs as well. I can't even imagine him having gained .05% ROI from knowing this early because I know i gained 0% ROI from understanding the format early.
Also look at the intent, ACR selling an ebook for $.99 isn't a get rich scheme it is meant to help players.
It's not about the money one gets selling a 99 cent e-book that I agree is a great deal for players and will help them it's for other things. Knowing payouts and the ability to mess with icm based tools to develop certain range strategy, style strategies, etc. for months before anyone else knows the specifics we shouldn't underrate.
The days of sitting down and crushing any form of poker regularly without doing much studying have been gone for years so for anyone to have even a little information and months to tackle it is getting a big edge.
Colin is just one person who would figure things out quickly because he is a genius but none of us know how many others got to test this format at Puna Cana prior as well.
I may have been a little harsh on my initial reaction and I know you said a lot of the concepts that went into this were your ideas, which I have a lot of respect for you btw.
This format has good potential with some tweaks and I hope WPN will listen to you and others in improving it.
I have to say this again because it's very important to me regarding mobile being a horrible idea for this format as it is. Nobody is looking for a 40 minute SNG on their phone and for a few that might try it the stability could be so bad causing support representatives a lot of headaches reading emails about it crashing,etc..
Jackpots would be way better suited for mobile but unless WPN shortens these for that platform they shouldn't waste their time.
