Needs to happen

I hear blitz i think football personally. I think fast poker is good. With PS goong down hill and people starting to look for similar alternatives why not do everything in your power to become similar with a softer player pool and better rake back and such. I also think it will steal a good amount of bovada regs who want fast poker that isn't anonymous. I think this is a good move. I also think they should add 8 game and such since there isn't a US facing site that offers games like that and i personally play PM on PS just so i can play the different game types I enjoy. If ACR offered them I'd bet they would be successful especially with jcarver streaming it and us having no way to play them for money. Just my thoughts

I think that we can reserve that title for you. It might be hard for you to understand that a lot of people have some concept of history.

Business' do and should select names for their products very carefully. WPN is an international site and should take everything into consideration. Blitz has a negative connotation for me and there is no doubt it has a negative connotation for many many others.

There's already a Blitz Poker out there. And like many other things that use the word blitz, it uses Nazi symbolism. The guy who started that site has a very shady past and has been arrested in the past for bomb making. I'm just saying that WPN should think about whether or not such a name is the right fit for its Network.

Fair points above re:blitz esp re symbolism. But I do like the ring of the name blitz. And this is coming from a Jew on Yom HaShoah of all days (Holocaust Remembrance Day is May 5).

why not make everything "fast poker" and stop the bumhunters and the regs that open 10 tables only to sitout when some reg sit?

The reg 10-tablers will simply open an additional 1-2 blitz poker tables and be happy with the difference in play along with the influx of new and rec players. Unfortunately, to maximize volume, you need both the blitz and the regular tables.

then again maybe the rest of the world doesn't associate the word blitz with football, you know countries like Poland and France. I myself don't find the usage of the word offensive but what I do find offensive is the fact wpn will introduce such changes to their site but wont address the lag/disconnect issues. To me its a slap in the face of every customer who has ever lost funds because of the problems.

One poster raised what I think wasn't a terrible point with regards to the name Blitz (I don't completely agree, but I also think it was a legitimate point), the insults started, he took the argument a little too far (probably prompted to do so by some of the trolling), and then it really got silly.

Infractions handed out, 25 posts deleted, and I'm hoping we can all move on now.

Fast-fold poker certainly loses some of the charm of regular poker, but at least it fixes some of the biggest problems.

It is just so much more convenient in terms of not having to get on waitlists, always having a full table, taking breaks without worrying about getting kicked off tables and then getting back on waitlists, less tables open/easier to keep track of action, can play a single table of it on a mobile device without being bored to death, etc etc. Get er done WPN

This is ******ed if true, they don't even have enough players for normal micro stakes tables during non peak hours. I'm always having to start new tables at micro stakes. Get ready for less traffic I guess.....



FWIW I like fast fold poker and was just looking at my old database pre BF and had a sick winrate over a tiny sample lol so I want it. The traffic is just not there tho. Makes me wonder if there will be a site in the future with ONLY fast fold poker, I can see that working for NL/PLO.
