Okay, we have a post by thatmediaguy claiming that Skillbet is not taking deposits from Missouri. And now some more posts that Skillbet is "exiting" both NY and NJ. I have no idea if these are true or not but it would be a good idea for a Skillbet representative to clarify what is going on.

I agree. This doesn't look good at all. Low traffic on site, less ad space here on 2+2, lack of response from customer service on rumours on these threads. Skillbet needs to clarify what is going on.

Let me be clear, they are still taking my deposits through dwolla. However super rewards doesn't work for me. I also attempted to create a new account to test out a theory and I was informed by the screen that they were no longer accepting customers from my state (Missouri) I have attempted again in order to grab a screenshot, but I now get a message saying there are too many accounts from your IP Address.

well yeah. you are only allowed to have one account, so that part isn't too surprising.

did you get the message about not being able to deposit from your state on the main or second account? did you use a proxy when you created the second account?

Is anyone from Skillbet going to address the Missouri, NJ, or NY situations that have been discuused on these boards? Its been 2 days. I certainly do not intend to deposit anything on this site until there is some clarification by the company.

Hello all,

So sorry for my radio silence (I'm in the middle of a move, so have been working from the road). So here's the scoop: Missouri is not an issue (it's possible SuperRewards had some glitch, but we've been unable to replicate it).

NY and NJ are another story. I'm not privy to the details but from what I've heard our lawyers told management that to be on the conservative side we should not offer real money in those jurisdictions (I'm guessing the NJ law was the impetus for the reevaluation). We've asked our NY and NJ customers to cashout their accounts, that's all going smoothly.

Renee,

Thank you for the response and clarification. I think we all understand that you are just a cog in the machine. But it is imperative that management stays on top of these issues given the past issues for online poker. Glad to see the website has been updated with the allowable states being revised. Good luck and hope the move went well.

Thank you Bictor I will be sure to pass your wise advice up the chain of command.

kudos for Skillbet for cashing out those players quickly and being proactive about NY/NJ. That's a good sign for all those who have been burned by other sites.

Thanks for the update.

You're welcome. And a big thanks to all our players, in and outside of NY and NJ, for giving SkillBet a try (and telling your friends about us too )

Man, f New York... I am hoping this means that they are going to get serious about online poker now though.
