Before you play your first game, it's a good idea to view SkillBet.com's tutorial. Here is a quick summary of the game play elements:

Playing SkillBet
In SkillBet Poker, you and your opponent are dealt the same cards. You sit at identical tables. You both play against the same computer players. The only factors that determine who wins are the players' decisions. This make it a game of skill and 100% legal! SkillBet.com offers two game formats: SkillBet Challenge and SkillBet Live.

Playing SkillBet Challenges (Winner Take All)
In a SkillBet Challenge, you and your opponent play 30 hands and whoever has the most tokens at the end wins the whole Buy-In amount. You can play against any friend (or foe) even if they are not looged in.

You can challenge a friend (who's new to SkillBet.com) via email, Facebook, or Twitter. When your friend accepts your Challenge, you will be notified. Then you will see the Challenge at the top of the lobby. Click on it to play the same 30 hands you friend played. The winner will get $10 free from SkillBet.com! Go here to learn more.

Alternatively, you can just click on "Play Challenges Now" in the lobby and SkillBet.com will match you.

Playing SkillBet Live
Play, chat and compete in realtime! If you win $20 on a hand and your opponent only wins $15 (with the same hand facing the same computer players), then your opponent owes you $5. You play a minimum of 30 hands and during these 30 hands you cannot win or lose more than your Buy-In. For example, if you play a $30 Live game, then during that game you cannot win or lose more than $30. At the end of the 30 hand game, you can continue on a hand by hand basis (stopping whenever you like).
