hm? He's actually become somewhat fotm. People have been going double dorans rings and maxing E first into a zzrot. Combined with his new ult it makes him actually a pretty strong laner in a lot of matchups, transitioned into an early tower and snowballing other lanes with his strong mid game while your lane opponent either abandons lane (giving your team a map+gold advantage) or spends the next 5 minutes trying to push your turret down through the zzrot minions.

Also, I don't think anyone here plays this game anymore.

ah, i keep coming here hoping for some discussion (and have posted a couple times lately i thought), but nothing ever happens. How did you guys do this season? Achieve your goals?

I got to low plat in s4 but in s5 i did not start playing until very late in the season and only ended up in gold. So this season I moved up 2 tiers to d5. I was happy just making it to platinum in s4 and honestly never thought I would make it to diamond, but here I am. I didn't play much (other than on my second account) after I hit diamond a couple weeks before the season ended because I wanted to preserve my diamond rank, but I'm starting to wonder whether I might be able to make it to masters. I know it's a big big leap from low diamond (highest i got was d4) to masters, but i never thought I would make it to low diamond either so who knows I guess.

Also, I did all this otp'ing trundle for the last several months of the season. He is a beast.

So no one stacks q stacks no more? I also feel a lot of the ELO i'm in, my teammates are always pushing to team fight early where Nasus is better to team fight late.

Nice man I hope to hit diamond next season. Currently P5.

LB rework is a fail and katarina rework is a fail IMO (only played those 2 so far).

Some people do, sure (and even maxing E first you try to pick up as many stacks as you can while fitting it into the rest of your strategy, because why not?), but the E max thing has definitely picked up steam because it addresses the issue that you just mentioned. If you don't really come online as Nasus until the 25 minute mark or so because you were busy stacking but the game is already decided by that point then what's the point of stacking? Maxing E first actually gives him a very strong early-mid game. With his new ult giving him resistances he is incredibly tanky with his ult up, and between wither for adc's/other auto attackers and spirit fire as an aoe armor shred (and non-negligible source of damage if you're maxing it first) you are actually a really strong teamfighter in the midgame. Also, maxing E first makes him a very strong pusher, especially when combined with a zzrot rush. Just makes it so that your team puts out insane pressure all over the map that is difficult to handle.

Yea, the LB rework seems just flat out bad to me. I mean, I don't play her at all, but I just don't see how she can work in a role even remotely close to what she would have to to be played as a mid laner with the cook time on her passive and the delay before the second cast of her W. Just makes it so she can't really burst people down super fast anymore, but if she can't do that what's her role in the team? It's not even like those champs don't exist anymore either. Viktor bursts people just as hard as LB does in the mid and late game.

Grinded hard the first half of the season and made it to D3 but then I kinda got burnt out and took a bit of a break. I mostly played on my smurf the last few months of the season with my lower-ranked friends and I found it more fun than just solo q'ing on my main. I was thrilled to make it to diamond this season for the first time.

I mained leblanc and I admit she was overbearing when ahead. Now she is like a mobile ryze with her W-Q waveclear combo. She does have more damage but instead of blowing someone up in 0,5s you blow someone up in 6,5s...

Besides that her W-R AOE nuke is gone too so no more sick teamfight plays.

Overall she gained some counterplay but what she lost is basically her identity.

Good thing I can play orianna/syndra/ahri/zed/yasuo and started to pick up viktor/cassio/taliyah

May as well use the preseason to get back in the game. Btw I heard rengar is super OP now.

Yeah I read the patch, he seems super broken and also very fun to play. Problem will probably be that he will be perma banned.

I don't think I need to long to get back, it's only mechanics that are rusty, decisionmaking is still there. I just don't like playing in a non competitive enviroment where people don't care. So I'm gonna wait till like 2 weeks before the ranked season starts. In the meantime I code on some of my LoL-Projects, which also helps me for University as I get some very needed codingpractice.

I tried this out after watching some vids on youtube. It's pretty good early and mid, but it falls off late. I kinda like it though, though at my ELO not sure my teammates can take advantage when i have 3+ top. Got so many complaints that my stacks weren't high enough etc.

Yea, it's definitely different, and it is difficult to break people from the mindset that Nasus is a champ that's just going to farm for 25 minutes then hard carry.

I've actually been playing it some mid when I have carry tops/jungles. Playing it into traditional mage mids can be really strong, because after you get a negatron cloak on your first back it's basically impossible for them to bully you out of lane or burst you down, then when you get your zzrot you just drop that down behind your turret and there is nothing they can do. Either they stay in lane clearing your zzrot minions or their tower goes down super early, meanwhile you're free to go help the side lanes.

Of existing champs that needed a rework, I think LeBlanc was like bottom 5 on the list.

Gonna go ahead and strongly disagree with that. I don't think she particularly needed a rework (though her play pattern was incredibly stupid for sure), but there are a ton of champs whose kits are far less in need of a rework than hers was.

-edit-

though I guess I missed the "that needed a rework" qualifier. with that qualifier attached it still seems like something weird to complain about- they didn't rework her now because they thought she needed to be reworked more desperately than champs like WW or Galio. They reworked her now because they were doing a broad rework of champs that fit into a certain category (Assassins).

Meh I was going for LB didn't really need a rework at all. I think she fit pretty well in the scheme of LoL and had a play style that was unique and was balanceable with a high skill cap.

The problem with Leblanc skillcap, is that a 2 years old ******ed child could kill opposing midlaner and get fed, because the lvl 2/3 and lvl 6 powerspike were ridiculously strong, with very few counterplay except "not farming, then buying a ****ty defensive item"

So even though it's a hard champion to master, the champion could get fed too often and was not fun for the 9 other players

old Leblanc was fine

overall I find the changes to the assasin champs pretty boring, I ban Rengar every game and the others dont seem thats strong or more fun to play.

The changes to the items, masteries and jungle feel like the big change this patch and assasin changes just a minor side thing

When will your site have 6.22 up?

I've been playing quite a bit after taking 2 years off, was gold last season jungling. I'm pondering setting a goal to get to diamond next season, we will see. I haven't seen Rengar since the first couple days, and haven't seen Talon once. Ya that Colossus keystone is super OP, propelled Hec back as the king of junglers.

All the bitching about the flex q placement/matchmaking stuff in the LoL community reminds me once again that most people really are very dumb. Like, it's preseason- the ranks are going to get soft reset again once the actual season starts anyway, and even if you get placed a couple divisions lower than you were at the end of last season you will still have like 10 months to move back up the ladder. Besides, that's kind of the whole point of the ladder- it would defeat the entire purpose if everyone just got placed exactly where they ended the previous season. The point is to make you earn your rank in the current season, not just coast by on your results from the previous season.
