They should have probably reduced ulti CD bit, then it would put more emphasis on the mana doubling part. Or give him some defense.

the last time they put Kass in the low 40s(rework) they immediately buffed him, Riot has a hard on for making sure he's a toxic force, while also nerfing over and over

Azir got olaf'd and left alone, others like Alistar have been left in trash tier too, you can guarantee the Kassadin buff in 5.5

the ironic problem i've seen with nerfs is there's no balance. pun intended. like when they decide to nerf a champ, it's almost always heavy handed, usually nerfs to 2-3 abilities.

The biggest problem with "the final nerf that Olaf's a champion" is that it's usually the one that they should have done in the first place, and now all their other previously nerfed skills/stats are too weak. GamingCurios had a decent vid on it and I agree with the overall sentiment of his thoughts.

People bitch too much about lack of tank junglers, Sejuana is a top 5 jungler, WW and Nunu are both solid even Naut isn't that bad

Pro-play plays by completely different rules and even then Nunu sees a fair amount of play and Vi/J4 never build damage beyond jungle item. If you are building sightstone you sure as **** aren't planning on doing a lot of damage.

the 5ad nerf matters a fair bit too, why not buff the awful Juggernaut instead, Magus/Devourer are fine and niche items

Yeah except on Sejuani juggernaut is awful

Warrior jungler can gank/kill anybody when they have their item, devourer is sick late game on jax/ww, magus is a poor man morello for jungler, and juggernaut does nothing

They should add something like a bonus ward on juggernaut so you can finish your jungler item go for red trinket and always hyave 1 ward + 1 deward on your tanky who can't gank effectively

A lot of tricky to balance champs that just got **** on

Tenacity is a god-awful stat to have on a build every game item, a ton of the time you don't want it(like vs every 2AP comp), or its just not useful till later and they have you paying a huge premium for it on top of that. It should be on Merc Treads and a couple niche items.

Patch 5.4 it`s funny how they wanted "junle diversity" and everything they did was pretty much "**** jungle diversity". Still don`t understand the changes to the leashes.

Also we are going to gold-starve you even more, so the fact most tanks generally scale better won't ever matter

Season 4 had an incredibly diverse soloqueue jungle metagame, 4 jungle items that all were solid but a very stale Pro metagame especially since Jungle pretty rarely sees more than 1 ban it was the same 2-3 junglers every game.

2v1s and double jungle suck balls too but they aren't going away and it seems Riot has finally accepted that.

AD will always be the best stat in the jungle in the first 10-15minutes

Juggernaut replacement item to buff jungle tanks:

We have some big changes for jungle tanks on the PBE today. As you might have seen from our highlight post on the jungle, we’re looking to solve some of gaps between tanks and the rest of the pack with a new tanky enchant as well as making Gromp explicitly reward tanks over other junglers.
First, what was wrong with Juggernaut? First, it wasn't explicitly improving clear speeds for tanks in comparison to other junglers. Others get to build incremental increases in damage with their components, but tanks just got… tankier without much else. Juggernaut also failed to feel like the foundation of a tanky build, as much as it was simply a decent chunk of stats that could make anyone more durable.
Enter Cinderhulk.
This new enchant builds out of a new component, Bami’s Cinder, which grants +300 HP and a mini Sunfire aura (now the Immolate aura). This gives tanks a boost both in their durability and their ability to get through camps. Once upgraded to Cinderhulk, the enchant gives champions a version of Immolate that ramps up with time-in-combat, rewarding those who are happy to get into the middle of a fight and stay there. The base health on Cinder Hulk is lower than Juggernaut (350 down from 500), but in the place of base stats, Cinderhulk now grants +25% bonus health. This means jungle tanks get more for their gold as they build tanky.
Along a similar line, we wanted Gromp’s Smite buff to do more for tanks that can need the bump in clear power, while not making it a universally powerful clear tool. Gromp’s poison armor now scales up with the bonus health of the owner, allowing tanks to opt into extra clear speed when they need it.
These items are aimed at 5.5, so we’re looking to get lots of coverage for bug fixes and polish to make sure we can see these hit live as smoothly as possible. We can’t wait to test these out with you all!"
