meh, the AH's take roughly 100% of the thrill and excitement out of finding new items.

yeah AH is fine by itself but it sucks to just play and grind when you realize you'd probably make more gold or get yourself better items by just refreshing the AH for different searches

Re: Diablo 3 LC/General Error 37 Discussion Thread

looking at that video i posted, i noticed that the elites faced were a bit tame, so i made a new one against a much tougher pack. if these guys had arcane and/or frozen in addition to fire chains, it would have been extremely tough or next to impossible at my current dps since you just cant get them gathered and keep them all frozen for any amount of time to prevent them from casting.

Re: Diablo 3 LC/General Error 37 Discussion Thread

they should just have launched AH.
D3 would be something like fantasy diablo, spend all ur time creating teams and char of farmer, but all with AH design like fantasy sports.

Quote:
I could sit down and grind for 2 hours for 2 million gold worth of items, or I could spend $5 on it instead.
but why?
why would you ever spend 5$ on the item?
the goal of the game is(as it been said) finding items.
if I sell you the best gear in the game, lets say a complete gear set for a char for 5$ will you be happy?
will you even want to load up the game anymore?
there is nothing to do in this game once you have beaten inferno.

Im pretty sure you wouldnt pay someone to finish zelda for you.
getting a sick item for 5$ or whatever the price is paying for someone else to finish the game for you,and by finish I actually mean final cut in the case of D3.
GAH is more legit cause everyone had to farm some gold and items at some point to make his way up.

buying items for real $$ is destroying the lifetime of your experience 1$ at a time.
dont do it!

Re: Diablo 3 LC/General Error 37 Discussion Thread

they are far too dumb to realize they could likely make much more money by keeping the game interesting a selling additional content later over killing the game for a large percentage of people while making $1+15% off as many of them as they can in the process.

yes i read it and maintain my post

you wont buy with $$ but you still refer to it as a negative experience since you are relating items to potential irl prices.
I havent bought a single item for $$$ and didnt even think about buying one so I donīt relate any of what I do ingame to real life value.

blizzard did actually trick the consumers on that one since once you get the good gear there is nothing else to do,players are actually paying to do nothing

ps:tone can poorly translate in posts so just in case its completely friendly post.

Re: Diablo 3 LC/General Error 37 Discussion Thread

Yep I see what you're saying.

I guess really if grinding was more fun and less of a chore then it wouldn't matter so much. Getting paid $2/hr for doing something you want to do anyway is great. Dreading the hours your'd have to put it for some new items, not so much. Maybe a couple of days off will rejuvenate me.

I think what helped was spending a decent chunk of my bankroll trying to pick up some crit gear for my wizard, then realizing only a very small benefit and still struggling with Act 3. I really need a nice big +crit dmg weapon, but they are so expensive!
