While broadly true this isn't a good strat to follow. Many items will go for 50k or more, and very occasionally you find million+ items (I've found two million gold amulets and a mojo so far)

^ Yeah, I agree. Plus, what you're willing to AH vs salvage will often have to do with your gold roll. If you're starting out A1 with 300k, it becomes worthwhile to find items you can sell for 20k rather than salvage for 3k worth of mats. If you have 10m gold and are just helping a friend out in A1, then yeah it's probably not worth nickel and diming for those same items.

Most of the drops > 100k in A1 are rare amulets & rings - it seems that the right rolls there can be very valuable. As there's no jewellery crafting this ought to remain the case, even without the 1.03 i63 changes.

The top several streams on Twitch are just people crafting things for their viewers.

KingKongor had like 168mil, Rogga has like 200mil, Trump is getting up there, but I don't think he's as high.

It's one of those deals where I think it's stupid that it's happening, but at the same time, it sucks that I'm not taking advantage of it. Sometimes I just want to check out some D3 streams to see if I'll pick up on anything, but all it is is people with 150k dps crafting **** for everyone, not even playing the game.

No reason to play the game when you can make money crafting, then buy the best items on the gold auction house with the money you make from crafting, then sell those items on the RMAH for real $'s. By making $200 a day on the RMAH, these guys have just doubled or tripled their usual income.

lol, I've streamed crafting for dirt cheap compared to these guys the past two days and made roughly 25-30 million. Much less stressful than actually farming lol. I also craft for myself with the profit so it's win-win.

solsek crafted me some gloves the other day and they were pretty mediocre, no real winners, he said I'd probably get my money back on them.

Listed all of them on the RMAH for $2 bid/$5 buyout and so far I've sold six of them! I can't imagine who would want them. This is pretty much my new strategy for all the junk items I've got hanging around in the stash.

I did 10 shoulders this morning, I'll probably lose about 1M on them. I did get a slight upgrade for myself, would have been cheaper to buy on the AH though

I've been working on farming for more essences, but I still have a long road ahead of me. I have 171 essences right now.

I just don't have the motivation to log in anymore. I've basically gone back to solo Butcher runs and that tends to get boring pretty quickly because I know the drops aren't going to be worth anything.

I'd like to take a shot at some gloves, but at the same time I'm about 99% sure I'd run bad and not be able to make that money back.

Yeah I will craft tonight again. I didn't really raise my price though First night I did it for free. It was supposed to be 975k, so a 25k increase per 10 crafts is not much. Shoulders are really tough to get good rolls on, but if you get something half decent you can make money. Ten obv. is not a big enough sample size, can easily make 20 mil or lose all your money with such a small craft.

I will have to raise the "my mats" craft too because of the way prices are increasing on tomes and essences. It will likely be 1.75k for my mats or your mats + 1 mil. I did invest approximately 35 million on these 3 recipes so I would like to get some cost of it back otherwise I would just craft for myself and undercut all 3 markets at once.

12.5k per craft is dirt cheap when other streamers charge 65k!

But yeah, twitch.tv/solsek will be the stream when I craft tonight.

Edit: Just finished crafting 10 million worth of gloves and I think I will have a hard time coming out even I did craft a few amazing gloves for myself earlier though so I guess I will still be slightly ahead. I think Kirby made some decent profit off of his crafts. He got atk speed, crit dmg and crit chance in his 30 gloves I think.

There are so many ways to make pretty obscene amounts of gold in this game with very little effort. I'm not sure why you're struggling so damn much.
