Yeah, I'm inclined to agree, they're too WoW style, gigantic oversized to the point of absolute comedy.

The gear should at least look at least semi-functional and not like some 12 year old drew it "MOR SPIKES, WOW DIS IS COOL!"

This does not make it useful. Although, I could appreciate the comedy value in a level 60 gear set that focuses on +exp.

i thought the monk was meh til i saw that 7 sided attack thing,
that has to be the most badass skill in the game

that said, i still have no idea what char im gonna roll first.
im thinking laying out 5 PLO hands, one for each char, and whoever wins, thats the winner.

I just downloaded the beta installer and logged in. I do NOT have beta access on my account so seems like Blizzard has started semi open-beta or they ****ed up. My money is on the latter but as it is the beta is playable without beta access for the time being.

Every time they do something really cool, turns out it was an accident.

Maybe it's just me, but wizard seems pretty weak in the early going; not much CC, AoE spells are fairly weak. This is in comparison to the DH, who has good early-game CC & decent crowd-dropping power (especially once rapid-shot is available)

is there going to be open world pvp , as old diablo, on the future?

they said probably not but they like the idea and it may happen in some sort or another eventually. i think consensus right now is that they will ship areny-pvp in a few months after release.

True but most of the old classic RPGs had weak casters in the beginning...they usually wind up being the post powerful classes in game at higher levels.
