I cant believe im actually gonna enjoy playing the story mode for the first time soon. With new monsters and bosses ive never seen before.

Its been over 10 years since the last time .

Except last time summer just started so I had an entire summer to do work in Act 5 and figure out these fancy runes and running around with an assassin.

This will be my first Diablo game, never played wow either. Hopefully it'll be fun playing it with friends.

Would like to try out the beta tho, friends have played Diablo 2 so would help if I could figure out a bit about the game haha. Really too bad they didnt have an open beta.

For me, I can't see how it can exceed D2 when it only allows 4 players max per game and a neutered pk structure. One of my favorite things to do in the old one was enter a packed hardcore normal diff game with my low level Barb, immediately hostile everyone and then hunt the ones who weren't in town by taking each waypoint until I found a trail of dead mobs that led to them.

and then they see you and leave the game...

or you get lucky because its 2005 and they lag?

Or you one shot them all with your throwing barb at their tp.
Such is diablo 2, or was. The PK system has gone to **** what I hear.

And more like join game, party up, go near where they are going, like sewers act2.
Hostile, kill them all.

Funniest times, and killing more than one from the same guy when they get a new character in game, priceless.

People who haven't played d1&2 seem to have bizarre misconceptions about d3 being an mmo. It's really just an arpg with online co-op (and only up to 4 players).

Yeah, D3 is sorely lacking a griefing system.

you might have to pvp with people that actually want to pvp!

haha I thought it was a mmo. hmm max 4. so what if you're with 6 for example? 2 have to play together and cant play with the other 4? :S

That's right. The normal game is 1-4 players at a time. The only "massive" part of it is the auction house (everyone in a region shares the same AH) and the matchmaking system (you are in a large pool of players with which you can quickly host/join a public game).

I do hope they expand that 4 limit to 8 at some point.
