So ill be starting the formation of my own D3 clan soon. The core will start with myself, my close friends, poker players from pokercollectif (french speaking canadians like me), their friends.
Then I can add those who want to join from 2p2, your friends, my friends english speaking friends, etc. The core should be french speaking so if you cant tolerate that then just dont join
, 95% of us will speak english too anyway.
Im not sure yet if theyre splitting useast and uswest. If so, we are on US East.
We will probably open a small forum for ourselves, and maybe a bigger site too.
A small hierarchy will be established, I'd start as leader. There will be a few higher ups that will recruit/report to me if theres **** going on and we need to kick people/change things. More "custom titles" will be given depending on sheer strength of character and/or how constantly positive for the clan the player has been. Still a lot to be determined here on what it gets you aside from a "title" and more "respect" in the clan.
The main goal of the clan will be to make each other stronger, not exactly like carebear clans do "hey come help me" or "can you give me that item plz". But more of a PvP intensive and gear hunting clan. We battle against each other. There will be intraclan tournaments, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc. Pull some gold for the entries of each player then the winners and a few other places depending on the entrants will get the gold prizes.
Then comes even more fun. Interclan wars. This will require some kind of trust and some research. Obviously, we can beat them just for pride and practice. But what if we want their gold too? Ill be trying to find clans that "almost" have a reputation and are willing to put some credits up for grabs.
These tournaments could have some insandly interesting formats. First, from our intraclan tournaments, we can see who the best 1v1 and 2v2 players are. A pick your players mode would be the best here. For example, like in some starcraft 2 tournaments: send your four best 1v1 players, and your best 2v2 team. First team to 3 victories wins the matchup. Or we could simply do bigger battles, a 2v2, 3v3, a 4v4. First to 2 wins.
Anyways this is kind of how my D2 love started, with a big clan doing tournaments with each other just for the hell of it and it adds a major incentive on wanting to get better. Then you add on top of that a "clan" pride and the feeling of the game just becomes incredible.
Of course, this all start by destroying inferno. We can do that together, we can synergize our builds and make sure we get geared asap to start kicking some major ass.
