Hey there, I am not a native English speaker but the lyrics of Still the Same from Bob Seger came just to my attention and I am asking you English speaking guys if this song is actually somehow related with or about a gambler or does the text stand for something completly different topic?
I actually looked into this when I saw this post the other day but forgot to get back to the thread. Found a quote supposedly from Seger...

Definitely gambling/poker lingo, but maybe more about hustler types in the entertainment world.
