I'm looking for a good, light, rugged, portable speaker with good battery life that is either bluetooth or wifi capable. The ability to plug in an iPod directly would also be nice.

I'm new to this. Any recommendations for something sub $100?

JBL Flip series meets all your requirements. Flip2 is the latest one I think.

Although I must say, the sound is nothing compared to the Bose portable speakers (bose ones are like 3x more expensive), but it beautifully fits for all your other criteria.
