From time to time I get a bit nostalgic, sometimes on things I didn't get into when they first came out.

That particular band right now is Slipknot. Never liked them. First record was garbage, last 3 have been weak. But their main album is amazing. I'm putting it the context of when it came out. It's recorded decently. The songs are good. The instrumentation is basic.

But as a whole, it's really something special. Reminds me of when 36-Chambers came out (not that I'm putting them in the same overall category) but from the cover and on, there are very few albums like it at the time. They really were trying to do something new and it was sincere as all hell.

Horse the Band - The Mechanical Hand is the first album I listened to and noticed that the entire thing was way more than a collection of individual songs. It's an incredibly album to experience.

The Recieving End of Sirens - The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi is the only other thing I can think of with such engineering. The album is brilliantly woven.

Hello everyone.

Radiohead - Ok Computer

I've only really started listening to Radiohead within the last 6 months but I could listen to this album forever. Alot of people think it's boring, depressing or overrated but I think it's amazing how forward it sounds even though it was made 16 years ago. Seeing the very unusual leap they took after this album to Kid A made me appreciate Ok Computer a lot more too.

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug

This album polarised alot of fans and now that they've found more success with Suck It And See afterwards, I can see how the record will be overlooked and underappreciated in the future. Alot of people will say how it's not even close to a "perfect" record, but it's another one that I can repeat for a very long time. Even now 4 years later I'm finding new things in the recording that I haven't noticed before, and it's just great how every song is different but still fits in the "desert-rock" pocket. It's a shame they only ever play 2 songs from this album live now.

Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures

This may be my most played album ever. Again, every song is so different and interesting, and I'm still hearing new sounds. This completely lived up to my expectations of what great music a "supergroup" should be making. And the most vivid dream I've ever had came whilst I was listening to the end of Spinning In The Daffodils. Now it's what I listen to when I sleep!

That's weird that you say a lot of people think it's boring or overrated. Me and most of the people I know got it when it came out and it was outstanding then, just as it is now. Are the people you're referring to only recently listening to it?

Wow... here are two that have not been mentioned at all that I definitely think deserve a spot:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication.. everyone has there favorite RHCP albums and I think any selection from BSSM to By The Way or Stadium Arcadium could be a possible pick, but there is not a bad song on Californication.

Gorillaz - Demon Days.. danger mouses' production on this album is just ridiculous, I don't think I've ever heard a better produced album.

The rest on my list have been mentioned before. Though I find it really weird that people keep saying Pinkerton by Weezer when the Blue Album is one of the best things ever.

Perfect

Spoiler content requires a system with amazing bass response and over an hour of free time. I also suggest turning off the lights and lying down. Chemical mood enhancements to taste.

o yea youthanasia is nice...countdown to extinction is great....and rust in peace would be supreme(technical songs + solos)....megadeth is a great band i have pretty much mastered all of mustaines guitarwork down, marty friedman's solos are very challenging, noone will really care though that you mastered it note for note thats just nerdish just learn scales and then improvise his solo out and most people won't know, xept the ones who play instruments.....however, i like mustaines darker days like his (dope) days when he made, "in my darkest hour." if your into metal like that try this album you might dig it.......the album is called "surtur rising" or sutur rising.....try this song as i lay dying "through struggle"

Saw these guys live with Motley Crue last month in Sydney. Got guitar picks from both and drumstick from KISS. Crazy night. For a bunch of old dudes was amazed at the show they put on.

Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction

No. Most of the people I know have been listening to Radiohead a lot longer than I have, and they all seem to agree that it's not as good as critics claim. I don't really care though, it's great.
