Alexei, haven't seen bet, raise, fold yet, but I just bought it (gonna watch after I finish writing music for 14,000 hours today), and I'm excited to see you play some keys in the film, I'm glad it made it in. Heard nothing but awesome things about the film so far.

Anybody got any suggestions for tunes you might like to hear at a high school or college football game? Collaborating with 2 friends of mine on some projects. So far we're working on a few "fun" ones (i.e. Thrift Shop, Price is Right theme), and a few more ominous ones (GoT theme, GoT season 1 menu screen). Ideally, I'd love to be able to equate a tune with a particular football event. For example, we wrote the price is right theme to be played when the starting lineups are being read out, GoT menu screen would be for whenever the team was on defense, etc.

Any suggestions would be awesome! I'll post some clips when we get a more cohesive list together and actually get a chance to compile these arrangements.

Only advice I have, and I think it's good advice, is to completely ignore the audience. They don't exist. You're completely by yourself, alone in a room.

Does anyone know what the music technique that is used in a lot of horror movies is called? I know it, I just can't think of it. It's like where half an orchestra plays a note and goes up in pitch, and the other half plays and goes down, and it's like dissonant, and atonal or some ****. There's a word for it, I know there is. I just can't think of it. Lemme try to find an example. I know there's one in The Shining.

I was the technical director on this. It was shot at the Hard Rock March 2013. Lot of fun. Interacted with a couple band members and they were really cool.

Most of the production crew were Vegas locals. The video engineers (V1 & V2) did a great job of making the cameras look great. The V1 is in his 70's and has been working in Vegas so long his credits are on the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts shot at Ballys in the 1970's.

Went to my local hole-in-the-wall tonight (hipsterish bar that i frequent on occasion) and this band was there. They're a super sick jam band. I befriended probably half of the band while drunk tonight and found out they're touring most of the East coast currently. Just wanted to share a new super underground band that others here might appreciate. Couldn't resist dropping $20 on a T-shirt because they were THAT good.

No idea how they ended up at my local bar, but I'm not complaining.
