Yes sir. I love their music. One of my all time favorite bands imo. They are amazing musicians and people imo. I admire and respect and appreciate them very deeply, as one musician to others.
They did that song for that kids show yo gabba gabba. Lots of bands have been on there. The guitarist from The Flaming Lips was on there, jimmy eat world, weezer, I think Jack Black was on there. It's a really weird show but it's pretty cool imo cause it's really trippy and ****.
in a world of ****ing god forsaken horrible god damn britney spears ****, ****ing justin beiber, ****ing god awful mother ****ing nickelback ****, god damn ****ing terrible terrible mass marketed ****ing god damn hooooorible ****ing plastic fabricated ****, to see musicians and bands like Smoosh, girls that started playing instruments when they were really really young, like Asy I think started playing piano when she was like 2 years old and ****. You know, I mean come on dude. That's a ****ing musician you know. And to see these girls just ****ing grow up playing music, listening to music, just being completey in love and alive with music ...
they are a band because they love to play music. music isn't all about the latest marketing trends and targeted marketing and ****ing pay god damn sell out piece of **** radio stations to play their latest ****ing soulless god damn ****ing trash and shove it down people's throats over the airwaves twenty times a day, latest hit single latest hit single! they're not about that **** and I respect musicians like that.
It's a kid's show. Smoosh is an indie band from Seattle comprised of three sisters and they played a kids show called yo gabba gabba. Lots of musicians have gone on that show.
I'm a big fan of them imo. They're a really great band and people should check them out imo.
They released their last album, Withershins, (their 3rd), completely independently. Before that they released their first album, She Like Electric, on Pattern 25, and released Free To Stay on Barsuk.
I drove down from central Oklahoma to Austin Texas last march for South By Southwest to see them. Got to see them play twice. One of the greatest experiences of my life.
man what I really love about Smoosh is that they just remind me of that great feeling when I'm ****ing jamming and just feel so completely alive and elated and happy. You know like ****ing nothing else in the world even exists at all. I'm just completely in the feeling of the moment and all that I exist for is for this present moment.
