One of my first jobs out of h.s. was Applebee's cook. The dishwasher bought me and my buddy RATM tickets because he was crazy and thought we needed to see RATM before we died lol. I always forget to mention it when asked my favorite concerts.

Lol... one of my first jobs was a server at Applebees. Went to a **** ton of concerts with the people I worked with.

Had tickets to see Rage with Wu Tang but got wasted and didnt make it to the concert. Have regretted it ever since.

one of your favourites?

One of the bands I could have seen, but didn't, and regret it!

it's a big list sadly

I am in Australia too, so it's not like we get to see these hero bands every day!

*EDIT - actually no ninja just an idiot (me!) who couldn't see that was a second post after yours!!!!

Yeah definitely one of my favorites. Same venue I saw 311/Cypress Hill/Pharcyde. At the 311 concert tho all 3 bands partied in our hotel all night. Tripped balls with 311/Cypress and Pharcyde. That concert was really fukn good too.

Love Phish

Fav band of all time. Saw them at the SuperBall last year, then drove 8 hours back home to catch a plane for Vegas. One of the best weeks of my life

Saul Williams is amazing imo.

You should def. check him out.

He did some stuff with Zach De La Rocha too.

(He may have even guested on a buckethead album : "Buckethead and Friends"?)

I just went over to the Buckethead wiki page to see if I was right about Saul Williams guesting on his album, and I saw this from Ozzy Osbourne:

In an interview with Revolver, Ozzy Osbourne stated that he had offered to have Buckethead play guitar in his band at Ozzfest. Ozzy quickly changed his mind after meeting with him, and realizing that Buckethead would not remove his costume to be accepted by Ozzy, said:
"I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me, but only if he got rid of the ****ing bucket. So I came back a bit later, and he's wearing this green ****ing Martian's-hat thing! I said, 'Look, just be yourself.' He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum, then!' I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing ****ing mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up'? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. He plays like a mother****er."

Axl Rose had this to say about him:

Quote:
The band has been put in an untenable position by guitarist Buckethead and his untimely departure. During his tenure with the band Buckethead has been inconsistent and erratic in both his behavior and commitment - despite being under contract - creating uncertainty and confusion and making it virtually impossible to move forward with recording, rehearsals and live plans with confidence. His transient lifestyle has made it impossible for even his closest friends to have nearly any form of communication with him whatsoever.
I think he put out two solo albums during that time heh

How ironic to hear that from Axl. Pay him more.

Nice ownage on Ozzy showing up in the Martian's hat instead. Ozzy's the cheapest of them all. You can get a better paying gig playing casuals in Vegas.

I always just thought he was a super recluse and developed the bucket thing because he didn't want the attention if he went out in public. Reading some things about his love for chicken coops and stuff tho while I was looking for that Axl quote was pretty lol.

I saw him live at a 10k festival in MInnesota several years ago and that's what got me interested. I haven't really listened to a ton of his albums even but that live performance was mind blowing.
