Funny you mention that because I was just out last night with some friends who were in Austin last week and they were telling me I'd love it there. I guess it's an awesome music city and they saw a ton of shows while they were there, all types of different bands I guess. Sounds like it'd be a good time. Never been to TX myself.

Austin is simply amazing. The number of venues and level of talent is humbling. Just a great town for Live Music.
