I'll address this to your friend, so if I say you it's to him, not you. I listened on my regular room speakers and then my ATH-M50s.

1. The mutes at 0:05 and 2:26 sounded more like volume ****-ups than intentional choices.

2. The strongest elements by far are the wobble bass and its higher-octave squeal-filter counterpart, which start around 0:33. This and 1:22–1:34 were the highlights. Well done.

3. At the start, before the wobble bass gets to work, though, the sonic space feels tiny and cold, possibly a result of the low end being so foregrounded and/or everything mid-range+ being so dry.

4. The build-up sections, 0:22–0:34 and 1:33–1:45, feel underwhelming. The snare sounds cheap. The swarm-of-bees synth (detuned saw) sounds a bit weak, especially its pitch fall at the end. And in the second of these sections, the snare roll continues for a bit even after the other instruments drop. Was this a mistake? It's kind of awkward.

It feels like it should be faster to me, it has some really nice build ups in it a few times but doesn't really go anywhere due to the speed. Aside from that it's good imho.
