I was reading the fatties thread and a few posts said foreigners think fatty Americans are disgusting.

Their FIRST thought is that we walk around with dirty bunkholes since bidets are not part of our culture.

The way to circumvent their logic is with a fresh supply of Big Elmo Wipes

I've always heard "Americans are such nice people."

Can't say I've had any other feedback, aside from the utter shock that we aren't all about our guns and many of us are actually anti-gun.

This is one inarguable relative to other western countries. Probably one of my least fav parts of our culture. Or I should say the culture I experience here in the good ole midwest.

The main thing being that Americans grouping people with different cultures and languages as Euros, is like grouping Americans as Mexicans, Cubans and US citizents as one Group.

American culture is familiar and pervasive, and some of it is great, but America is also a foreign country.

I don't follow politics, but there is a referendum soon in the UK about whether to stay in the EU. Some of the rhetoric on the No side is that the EU is veering towards a "united states of Europe", whatever that means, and why ever that would be bad.
