Saw Radiohead live two nights ago in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Thom Yorke has an insanely good voice, the crowd energy was great, the lightshow/visuals in the backdrop were great, and they were all very talented.
I originally thought they didn't play enough early stuff; they didn't play anything from The Bends. They did however play a couple old songs. Paranoid Android lasted for 10 mins (thought they turned the interlude into an entirely different song before going back).
they opened with Bloom, mixed pretty much the entire KOL with some songs from amnesiac/hail to the theif/in rainbows, with a few songs from ok computer and kid a.
the 2nd to last song of the night began with this exchange -
"I know we haven't been here in 15 years, I guess we owe you this"
^^Gives me the chills in spite of my horrible singing.
There were few deviations from playing a song, 1min break, encores, and very little talking. Nothing was free-styled, however Thom played Neil Young before they closed with Everything In It's Right Place. Originally I was mad they didn't play Fake Plastic Trees or anything else from The Bends but later realized the bends came out 17 years ago and they were now 43, and making them play **** from their past that they'd obviously rather not play isn't right. Overall though, I found it to be a great show, though ever so slightly lacking in forming a personal connection with the band.
It also seems uncertain if they'll reach back into OK Computer in their future shows, which made it even more epic for me. Easilly the most famous band I've ever seen.

I hate the freakin' Palace for shows. Sounds terrible. Last show I saw there was Ben Harper a number of years ago and decided I'd never return. Ben was great but just can't handle that place as a venue. I was disappointed to hear Radiohead was playing there. Glad you enjoyed it though.

To contribute something more thread topic related..... I just saw Macpodz (smaller local band) again a couple weeks ago. Super fun band, puts on a great show. Pretty sure they started up in Ann Arbor but tour around pretty good these days. Check 'em out if you get a chance.
