There's a couple threads people have started but I'm not sure if multiple people are posting their music or just one person per thread. You could just start a thread if you wanted to imo.

Just do it.

Usually when you have a newish forum, single threads for such things are fine, but if/when they start to overwhelm, the best thing a mod can do is gather them into one thread with a clear title, and ask all new ones go in there.

Then, if the forum culture is okay, what the mod asks usually happens, other than you might get an odd one in its own thread, which may or may not be fine, depending if it's particularly outstanding or not.

In general, for new forums that are still norming to a standard, I'd encourage trying anything that fits the forum brief reasonably, and not worrying about being in the wrong (but clear trolls should not be accomodated).

Mods usually can tell if a thread is genuine and not asshatting around, so relax and do it. The more musician traffic we get in this forum, the better, especially at this stage.

Also, I just wanted to add I got this uke for Christmas and quickly picked up how to play it, and highly recommend the uke for anyone who wants a very simple, cheap instrument to play around on

Actually you made me think about starting. Think I'll google ukulele, look for prices and so on! I've lost many years not really playing anything.

That was very nice

I've thought about picking up a ukelele for a while now, is it really that simple to learn? I'm terrible at stringed instruments

yes, the uke's small size and 4 strings instead of 6 on a guitar make chording and fingering etc much easier than for a guitar. plus you can just pick, you can just strum or mix them up, it all sounds pretty good.

I do have to point out I've played the guitar and bass on and off (mostly off) for nearly 30 years, so I may be so used to fingering much bigger instruments (oooooooh errrrr) that playing the uke just feels super easy to me, so it may not be as easy as I'm suggesting maybe.

They are VERY cheap and fun to have around though.

Have played mainly the piano and keyboards, but went a guitar course years ago, so maybe there could be some potential. Plusses:

1. Small size
2. Not expensive
3. Just four strings, short neck: bound to be more easy to "master" than a guitar

Think I'll have to go to a music store to test some out. If having to put up some more dole for better acoustics/more comfortable to handle, so be it.

Advice taken. Never been able to play a string instrument due to a partially deformed left hand, short temper, and near tone-deafness. This time will be different!
