Why not 2-7TD? Why not 2-7TD?

Nowadays, more and more people prefer playing NLHE or PLO, rather than 2-7 TD ,Razz ,or Omaha 8,even FLHE, so,it is hard to find a player in the 2-7TD or Razz tables at low or small limit .
I just wonder curiously why do they flock to NLHE or PLO but pay less attention‘ on other forms of poker .
Is NLHE or PLO easier on playing than others?

I think always was the same, fewer players in thoose games. Its true that there's less action in this games compared to 2 years ago, but I doubt there's more at the NLHE/PLO at the same time. Just a decrease in poker action in general.

It's really hard to play 24 tables of TD.

I agree with Forest, I think it was always the case that there were more players playing NL & PLO. But I think the draw games were probably harder hit by Black Friday as I assume more of the playerpool was American. Maybe stronger tradition of playing draw games in the US than elsewhere?

Also, now that NL & PLO have taken over I guess ppl maybe aren't so interested in trying limit games, maybe seeing them as boring compared to big-bet games.

Look in the Vegas casinos as well, the only time i ever see 2/7 games running is when its mixed games, and its usually only high stakes. I can't remember the last time I saw any casino spread a TD game that wasn't nosebleeds.

It is in mixed games, thats all. If one has played omaha8 limit, plo, nlh, lhe, even studs, it is hard to stay competitive but in mixed games, and there also happen to be 3dr and studs, that i partly dont mind as i play good 7stud and 3dr is easy at least in mixed games. Would just hope plo8 in and razz out, though razz is easy, but not challenging enough, while stud8 is challenging but no one knows it. 3dr just is in the mix, and it is maybe not too easy but it is bit hard to play and the pots are too big for later folding but when one knows and doesnt overdo it. Single draw nl would be easier to play but doesnt look challenging enough for me. But whatever, i am clear why i play mixed games and cant pick what they contain, them being picked by the best players.
