Want to play Badugi... where?

I'm from the US, so I know I can play on Stars for play money, but the play is so bad it seems like a disservice to try and get better that way.

I love this game and there's not even a zynga badugi or anything so please help!

Thanks!

Re: Want to play Badugi... where?

The Merge network spreads Badugi, albeit with somewhat limited traffic. Right now (off-peak time of 6:30am Eastern), there are two tables running, .10/.10 and .25/.25 half-pot limit, and there are a few daily micro-stakes tourneys (mostly pot-limit, one fixed-limit). Can't guarantee a very high level of play, but should be better than play money and you can make some profit

Re: Want to play Badugi... where?

If zynga had a badugi game, the play would definitely be worse than Stars play money...lol

But in terms of real-money online play, yeah merge is your best bet. I think you can sign up for rakeback again now (don't quote me on that) as well. Other than that, you're better off going to Vegas to find live games. And badugi live is usually only run as part of a mix game, often for higher stakes. If you would happen to live near St. Louis, we could play HU, haha.

Nowhere unless you play the most unsustainable and gayest game ever, half-pot limit badugi.

PM me next time you're in vegas and I'll set up a mix game (4/8-15/30) that has badugi and split pot draw games (badacey, badeucey)

Re: Want to play Badugi... where?

Thanks everybody. I was just in Vegas and played a little Badugi and loved it. Much better game imo than Badeucy or Badaci.

I checked out Merge, but so many bad stories of $$ there I can't pull the trigger and do it.

I did find an app that plays shorthanded that I like. No real $ obv but its not terrible and was only $1. (Hard mode is the only one worth playing against)

My home game loves Badugi but we just dont play often enough.

I'll keep looking though. Hope one day we'll get Stars back and can play draw every day

It's pass and back in, not pass and out, as well.

You can play in Atlantic City, at least it's on the list.

For what it's worth, I had no problems depositing and withdrawing through Carbon--it just took a while for the withdrawal to clear. Traffic is thin; usually at least one .10 or .25 HPL Badugi game is running. They are, not surprisingly, very very soft. The HPL structure is indeed pretty goofy in my opinion.

For TD you usually have to sit and wait and be comfortable shorthanded.

I have a couple times seen someone set up a custom limit Badugi game on Merge but it's rare, and I doubt any custom games draw random players on the site.
