triple draw - interesting riverspot

The villain seems to be a decent triple draw player. At first I thought he was a nut peddler, but in this session I've seen him be pretty creative too.

With #4 should I 3-bet here on the river, or just call?

Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit ($2/$4) (converter)

SB ($78), Seat 4
BB ($203), Seat 5
Hero ($168), Seat 6
MP ($153), Seat 1
CO ($91), Seat 2
Button ($33), Seat 3

Button at Seat 3.
SB posts $1. BB posts $2.

Hand: [7d 5c 2c 8c 4s]

Round 1: (1.50 SB)

Hero raises. MP folds. CO folds. Button calls. SB calls. BB folds.
SB takes 2. Hero discards 8c. Button takes 2.

Hand: [7d 5c 2c 4s 6s]

Round 2: (7.00 SB)

SB checks. Hero bets. Button calls. SB calls.
SB takes 2. Hero stands pat. Button takes 2.

Hand: [7d 5c 2c 4s 6s]

Round 3: (5.00 BB)

SB checks. Hero bets. Button calls. SB calls.
SB takes 1. Hero stands pat. Button takes 1.

Hand: [7d 5c 2c 4s 6s]

Round 4: (8.00 BB)

SB checks. Hero bets. Button raises. SB folds.

I dont think you should try and overplay this. He might have #5 og #6 and do this, but if thats the case you can atleast get that note and exploit it later. My guess is you are beat or splitting.

Yea, thats pretty much how I feel about it too. At higher stakes people will valueraise a ton of worse hands here, but I don't think that'll happen too much at 2/4. He probably also was drawing pretty smooth, so more of his range is capable of surpassing you.

i think i'm c/raising this river pretty often. as played probably bet/call since i'd hate losing 4 bets on the river.

Yes, because you're a favorite to improve or at least stay the same) in 3 draws and if you improve to a 7 then you can win many more bets against second best hands on the end. Booya implied odds.

I would be more likely to just keep the 87 in a many-way raised pot because so many of the good cards would probably be dead in somebody's hand already. It would be tougher for other folks to improve to a better hand for that reason, too.

on the other hand you want to have a stronger hand multiway to survive/gain value. whaht outweights more?

Re: triple draw - interesting riverspot

Id like the bet/call on the river more than the check raise unless villians are very laggy. dont see too many villians bet out here vs a pat hand thats checked to them on the river without #8 + and getting three bet sucks. and if you bet out they will call you with all sorts of stuff. I dont see enough value in a three bet either esp at the micros. I like the break at the start but a lot of villians give up right away vs a pat hand so maybe patting is better vs those villians.
