Snowing in A-5 TD

Like many, my snowing in 2-7 primarily occurs when I start off with a rough, straightening-type hand that turns into multiple pairs, trips or OESD/straight. That brings me to my question. I feel that there are no A-5 hands analogous to 457, 568 and other such 2-7 hands because the straight draw factor is nonexistent. When I play a hand such as the above in 2-7, I know that it is possible that I will end up wanting to snow. I never have that feeling in A-5. My question, thus, is how and when in the hand do you guys decide to snow in an A-5 pot?

Well you shouldn't snow as much in A-5 as in 2-7 because it's more likely someone will make a hand to call you down with.
I guess in A-5 you'll still have bad draws you can snow (say a one-card draw to a rough 7 - not sure if you should play such a hand) where you won't be ecstatic even if you make your draw.
Also blockers are still important so you could snow something like AAA22.

Yeah, as tasman says, focus snowing based on blocker hands more. Like if you start with 235, and pull 22, then you might be better off trying to snow depending on how many your opponents are drawing.
