$50 PL 2-7, 100bbs effective. now a little about out villain...

sometimes i can't tell if he's the spot or just an unorthodox player with suicidal tendencies. i lean towards the former, but its not like every session he gives it all away. sometimes he'll lose 3 buyins in under 10 mins, but also have 800bbs on the table after a long session.

these hands are 1 after the other.

Im not v.good (One thing I learned by losing tons of cash is playing one card draws to 7 from utg with a 6 in it) at PL but when villain 3-bets and draws 3 he obv has 27xxx and when he c/r on turn after drawing 2 I would (in limit) call because ur 4th card is a 3 and obv a much better kicker if villain caught 247xx or 257xx. U need to know if villain has a 6 or not in his hand, if he hit clean card on both draws, sure ur pretty much dead but the rest of his c/r range is wider than those type of hands.

As for the actual question, you haven't told us anything useful to answer it. You've played with this guy a bunch, and he sounds like the sort of player who holds your attention, so you should have some idea of what his range is for doing this.

This. Particularly in hand 2, but probably also in hand 1.
Hand 2 I'd also make my flop and turn sizes bigger, especially against this guy if he's drawing that wide/loose.
And for the question, based on it being directly on the back of hand 1, I would be inclined to call and then pat behind, regardless of whether he is pat or 1.

you should have to 4bet both of those hands pre against a guy whom we assume 3bets too wide. If you don't 4bet those, your 4b range is effectively just pats, which is missing value.

Hand 2 seems close OTT, leaning towards fold. In general, he can make a better pat here ~15% of the time and seems like he would autoshove all of them. We don't know how much he semibluffs though. Being IP for the draw holds a lot of value (we can break if he pats), but I would assume he isnt aggro enough to make this a call.

If we paired one of our cards on a previous draw, or made a better pat (probably smooth 87+) I'd call off.

seems the consensus is pretty clear regarding 4-betting 2 7x hands with the 2 other cards being 3-6. the reason i'm reluctant to is A. most of the time a 3-bet=a draw 1 hand, B. all the $$$ is going in either pre draw or after the 1st and C. if i am up against a draw 1 hand (which is likely) these are essentially flips, best case a 55/45 edge.

maybe the fact that when some1 3-bets a 247xx type hand my hand has a 66/33 type edge makes up for the fact that the rest are flips? i just don't think that scenario happens enough times in my games to make 4-betting much better than a blind 50/50 proposition.

i guess most people think this is a leak? its just that i think i'm able to find spots where i put my money in with much more equity. well not in the last week tho lol.
