I have recently been introduced to simulators that work hand in hand with the pineapple open face Chinese game, maximum of two players. Within the poker world would these be considered cheating and if so why? The simulators were introduced to me from what some can call a poker veteran who claimed they helped with getting ahead in the game.

Not sure if this is a serious post or not, but I will answer anyways.

I don't play OFC, but I was curious of the same question so I asked some people who play a lot on the Apps. It was universal that all of them considered using the simulators while playing for money was cheating. I was a little surprised because its so hard to enforce, but that is the clear consensus in the community.

I worked on the simulator at one point but the permutations are so enormous it was really difficult and there wasn't many easy optimizations to reduce the data set to make it usable. That doesn't mean it's impossible, i was trying to do it on a mobile device with limited memory space, not a web server or AWS where you can have massive amounts of storage, but it's a hard problem to solve well.

I just got accused of using a simulator after beating someone for about 200 points over 93 hands ($1/point). I may tell the more fulsome story in another post as I met the guy on 2+2. Suffice to say I have no idea how I would even have gone about doing it, and the guy didn't have any evidence other than the fact that I binked a bunch of fantasy lands. Unclear to me how a simulator would even help you get lucky with fantasy land.

Anyway, it's going to be pretty much impossible for online OFC/pineapple for money to survive if people can freeroll someone by accusing them of using a simulator if they run good. This was my first time ever playing someone I don't know IRL and the whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, less because of the $200 and more because I've been accused of cheating for no good reason.
