This morning I managed to win a Badugi HUSnG without ever realizing it was pot limit. Not sure if that says worse things about me or my opponent.

i will never be trolled this hard ever again, and its much worse having been done by an emotionless random number generator.

yesterday i had been playing one table each of 2-7 and A-5 PL triple draw for about an hour (just about even between the tables, uneventful games for me) when i see a big donator in the PL 5 Card Draw game running.

i sit in the 5 Card game and within 2 orbits i'm dealt pre-draw: A2345, 23457, A2356, 2357x, and 2345x. and just for a final kick in the nuts i get quad kings at my 2-7 table a few minutes later.

The section in Super System 2 is decent on the "wait how do I play this game" front if you're that early. Otherwise the quarter game on Stars always used to be a good place to donk around and try stuff.

Since I'm in the off topic thread let me just say that Laotian ghost pepper beef jerky is awesome.

I think this is right. In that position I'm not loving it when he 5bet jams, but 17bb deep I don't think I can fold an 86 badugi when he can have so many worse badugis and premium 3cards.

Easiest pat down ever with 17bbs. And I would love it when he ships pre, and I would still expect to be good here a decent amount of the time at showdown.

Congratulations.

I think razz is all about reading your opponents and putting them on cards. I've watched players who are amazing at this skill. You must be rather good at it yourself.

Anyhow, very nice.

Ty sir. I have a 3rd in a Razz Miniftops from a while ago and was hoping to beat that, but shame.
And yeah I have been working on my Razz game a fair bit lately, and seems like it's paid off. And yes of course it is some of that, but yeah I think there is more to it than that (and than you would initally think) in order to be legitimately good-very good at it.

lots of razz advice floating around in the stud forum, you should drop in and check it out. of course some of being a good razz player is hand reading your opponents, but there's also a fair amount of math and learning when to rep strength with your board and when not to.
