I used to do similar stuff at micros 5CD when I was on tilt. Bet 100% when folded to me and raise any pair. I assume doing the same in 2-7 is much more fun.

Definitely the biggest limit pot I've won with T-high! Wasn't even really that tough of a decision getting 22 to 1 or whatever it was.

They did for triple draw, not sure about single draw, but I would guess yes.

Yeh I remember playing 0.5/1 - 2/4 on the heads up tables a couple years ago, 0.5/1 was the smallest stakes not sure if they went any higher 2/4. Heads up 2-7 SD is SOOOOOOO MUCH better than FR.

Mixed. Just over half the hands are hu. My standarddeviation hu and 6handed is roughly the same though, I'm 23.0BB/100 for hu and 21.8BB/100 for 5 and 6handed. Not sure if that's a good sign for my 6maxgame.

Given your SD, that graph isn't that far out of the ordinary. Just a reminder on how sick the game is.

And fwiw, my HU SD was about equal to my 6 max SD. But I never felt super comfortable playing HU either, so I probably kept my nitty 6max ways. Generally most of a player's SD is dictated by the game's betting structure. Oversimplifying... < 17BB/100 = nitty and > 23BB/100 = lagtard.

In a live game, I would assume that "normal" is harder to quantify because it's going to be more table dependent (i.e. how wild the game you typically play in is). If I had to guess, it would be a bit lower than straight 2-7 (one of the swingiest mix games), since split pot games help curb variance by splitting the pot, but it will affect SD less than people think since split pot games also tend to make pots larger and more multiway. And since there is no qualifier on b2 & bA, those games will probably have an SD lower than 2-7, possibly even o8, stud8. Lumping all the games together, I would still think it's higher than 16BB/100 though for most players...at 25 hands/hr that's equivalent to an SD of 8BB/hr. I wouldn't be shocked it was closer to 9-10BB/hr for some players.

If you play in a mix game a lot, and if you start tracking your results hourly (in BB if you play multiple limits), then SD becomes pretty trivial to calculate (or use an app that calculates SD correctly like Poker Journal). And results converge much more quickly than winrate does. If I lived in a place that offered mix games , I'd do this for curiosity at the least.

If anyone has actually kept meticulous enough records to calculate an SD for their mix game play, please share with us.
