Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Jason Mercier, Scott Seiver, David Williams, Marco Johnson and Shaun Deeb played 10-20 NL deuce with a mandatory blind minbet utg.
Most fun railing Ive had in ages. And they also made a new record for biggest deuce pot Ive ever seen online. 15k pot. NoraFlum/Marco Johnson won with a number 7 all in pre.

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Then consider stopping by more often. Shaundeeb, Mr. Smokey and David Williams among others were doing the same thing last night

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Just curious as to what tilts people the most about triple draw. Lately for me, it's been dealt pat hands. At micros there's no real need to balance your pat hands w/ snows, so you've just got to bet/bet/bet/pray...
This converter is going to be a cash cow...
PokerStars Limit Triple Draw $0.10/$0.20 - 5 players
SB: $5.28
BB: $7.86 (Hero)
UTG: $10.40
CO: $5.03
Button: $2.47
Dealing Hands: ($0.15) (5 players)
UTG folds, CO calls $0.10, Button folds, SB calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.20, CO calls $0.10, SB calls $0.10
First Draw: ($0.60) (3 players)
SB discards 2, Hero stands, CO discards 1,
SB checks, Hero bets $0.10, CO calls $0.10, SB calls $0.10
Second Draw: ($0.90) (3 players)
SB discards 2, Hero stands, CO discards 1,
SB checks, Hero bets $0.20, CO calls $0.20, SB calls $0.20
Third Draw: ($1.50) (3 players)
SB discards 1, Hero stands, CO discards 1,
SB checks, Hero bets $0.20, CO raises to $0.40, SB folds, Hero calls $0.20
Hero mucked
CO showed , Lo: 7,6,4,3,2
CO won $2.19
(Rake: $0.11)

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
TD is most tilting when playing live with a fish that is unbeatable that day, for all the reasons you can think of plus the game is slower than online so its that much more agonizing, but for all these reasons its a great game also, its just hard for me to think that all the time.

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
The part of TD I hate is how nitty the bad players are. You know its horrible from a GTO standpoint to fold an 87 to one raise, but they keep showing you the nuts.

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Hand looks well played unless DW thinks you're snowing a lot. Has shaun shown any snows? Otherwise a bet turns your hand into a bluff.

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
to me its akin to V betting 3rd pair in holdem in this spot, when it works its great, but there are so many things to go wrong here, what happens it you get raised after betting say 1200 or so, youre commited to call almost no matter what the action after a decent bet in this spot with the stack sizes, so a check here to me is OK. Sometimes like in holdem its just not possible to profitably extract money post draw/flop-turn-river etc etc. You know hes got a pretty smooth draw if hes calling that much and drawing (not that is the end all be all of a specific discipline of poker, but he does have a bracelet in this one) so in position, i think this is +EV more often then not to ch, there isnt much you are getting called here with, and there are a lot of hands that dont beat you that could potentially raise you out ( or try ) and put you in a tough spot

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
I'm not positive, but I think there was a 1:2 or 2:1 spot where you (as the 1cd) checked 88 (you had paired your top card, I think it was against David or Greg who ended up having made a J6432 or something similar), but it seemed terrible not to bluff (even if it had gone 1:1 and sometimes 1:0) and you should probably have an expanded bluffing and value range in those spots to begin with.
