Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
I didn't want him to break a K or a pair (heck, why not a straight even though he's not the same guy). He had patted plenty of those before, but always broke them when raised.

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Yup. The best part is, Villain was actually up at the time. He started with $120. At his highest point, he had $280. He went broke in 58 hands.
My second hand, his 10th. I had already seen him make two of his wacky pats (his opponent had been all-in - what kind of a moron doesn't reload to full stack with a whale like this at the table?).

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Those tables are always fun. I won a ~40BB pot once at 1/2 w/#5 because one of the villains played by draw high rules...

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Can someone recommend good literature on 2-7 No Limit Single Draw? I found nothing useful so far but I like the game a lot and would like to learn!
Learning through experience is costly though. I'm playing $5 double chance tourneys on Stars and haven't cashed so far in like 10 attempts. Bubbled last two I played, though, I'm slowly improving...

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
Why the **** is everybody acting so slowly? 60 hands/hr, come on, this isn't NLHE.

Re: Other Poker Regs/BBV thread
But I want to lose 300BB as fast as possible so I can get my scheduled downswing over with! Then I can win another 500BB and repeat the process.
My graph also implied I was supposed to win five figures in the last 24BB of the upswing, but I ignored that part and didn't take a shot at 500/1000.

The Irish body is not built for 40C; I have discovered this being of Irish/Scottish decent and living in Australia!
Greece sounds nice though, barely cracking 15C here at the moment... Thank the Gods that poker is an indoor pursuit

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know the entomology of the term "snow"?

Entomology is the branch of zoology connected with insects. Maybe you want "etiology" which can mean the investigation of the reason for something.
"Snow" has long been used (slang) to mean "mislead."
