Do you guys think that OFC is stilling gaining popularity? Or has it already peaked and on the decline?

On this forum it definitely seems to have lost it's "mojo". It looks as if most of the posts and excitement were in late 2013-2014.

What about to the average Joe, or casual poker fan? Do you think it will be a growing game?

I think the problem is that everyone goes in thinking its a crazy high variance gambling game, but the edge for a good player on someone who sucks is actually quite large, and given that people can easily play hundreds of hands a day on their phone bad players are grinded up fairly quickly.

I just started, its being played a ton at WSOP, a bunch of people at my local casino are now playing on the app, I think its gaining in popularity. Its got a long way to go as NLHE is still king and PLO is gaining in popularity as well.

Yeah it was hugely popular at the WSOP cash games. There were always infinitely more Chinese games going than any mixed games or any non-NLHE games. Like an average of 5-6 tables (sometimes more) running every night.
Especially now that there are different variants of it too, like Pineapple 2-7 etc, I think it will keep going for a while.
